I'm praying about my possible step or if I go deeper into what I'm already doing. I've put my Etsy shop and website on hold as my responsibilities have increased e cause if my husband's Parkinson's. I'm praying for wisdom and discernment. Meanwhile I DO love my mission of wife and homemaker ❤ and feel so blessed I have the time to knit, crochet, cross stitch etc! Re swatches, I confess I rarely stitch them but when you held yours up, I thought they could be connected to make a pillow cover, depending on how many you have 😉 I so enjoyed hearing your testimony about working with the women in the prison! What a ministry! I knew a woman who went to a local prison and taught them to knit and crochet to make hats for cancer patients ❤.' As someone else said, I love your podcast because of your calm nature, your devotional and lovely knitting, I feel I'm visiting with a friend ❤ 🙏🏻❤️

BSF is doing a study on Revelation this coming year. There are now a good bit of online classes if you don't have one close to you or it's on a night you can't do. Highly recommend too!

I finally had an afternoon to sit and knit with you. Your story of how God has guided you is so beautiful. When I think of how Jesus has guided me over the years even those times when I didn’t think he was near and realized he was so very near my heart filled with joy. What a beautiful testimony Rhonda. I’m so glad you and the incarcerated women have found each other. You are enriching each other’s lives through Jesus Christ. I went back to school at 52 and became a mental health counselor. I now work in a faith based counseling center helping people from all walks of life heal and grow closer to God. I was scared but knew God wouldn’t let this idea go until I stepped forward in faith. Anything I do comes from Him. I’m grateful to Him for letting me do this work. God bless you Rhonda. Wonderful story of your journey Rhonda!!!! I absolutely agree with you that serving God is definitely the most fulfilling way to live. Thank you for sharing! As for swatches I do a 6 x 6 inch swatch. I have been knitting less than a year but the instructor I’m learning from taught me this. I leave mine attached to the ball and after it’s blocked and the correct needle for my gauge is decided I unravel the yarn and use it for the project. It saves yarn and then I don’t have swatches piling up. Have a wonderful week knitting ❤️

Rhonda, thank you for your podcasts. They are always good for my heart. You really spoke to me today as you gave your testimony of how you got started in prison ministry. Lately I've been feeling a tug. We recently joined a new church and I'm happy to get involved. At the time of our joining, we were asked to think about volunteer opportunities. One on the list was "care" which I marked not really knowing what it entailed. I have been asked to join the care team which makes visits (shut-ins?) and gives communion when asked to do so. The visiting part is easy for me, but I have never given communion. I was tempted to step away, but I felt God was guiding me and I said yes. This is very new to me, and there haven't yet been any meetings, but I have a great peace in my heart. I know God is guiding me, a person who feels inadequate, to do this work. I know He will give me the words and He will be with me along this journey. Blessings to your prison ministry, and your family. And, by the way, your knitting is always beautiful!

I was thinking, there's no point to keeping a swatch once you've made the project. It does give you good information as you begin the project, but after that, I think there's no reason to keep them, but I have trouble throwing them away.😅😅
