Thank you so much for this video! I have been crafting for years and always have trouble deciding when to use my alcohol based markers (Copics and Artist's Loft) versus my water based markers (Tombow and Crayola). The information you shared is sooo very helpful! Thank you! Happy creating!

Thank you so much! This was very helpful and greatly explained, by the way!
Where can you get gouache? Do you have any brands you prefer? I wanna use it too but i dknt know wich are good and i cant seem to find one that isnt expensive 😔
@@Mahtab.54 I tried two local brands, and I liked the cheaper option (mainly because I work on dark backgrounds) so I’d say buy whatever brand is within your budget and test it out. Does crayola produce any? I do however NOT recommend the hemmi paints (not sure that’s the correct way to spell the name) you know those that come in sauce containers? Because it will definitely dry out and you’ll have to rehydrate them every time which is a pain.
@@bonnief1025 sadly i font have any art stores in my area or stores that have gouache but ig im just gonna buy a cheap one,i was initially nervous to get a cheap one cuz i thought it may be bad sknce everyone used expensive ones😭and thanks for the tip!! That rlly helpfull bcs I do not have the energy to rehydrate the paint every time💀
I have the full set of Ohuhu alcohol markers but decided to order the full set of water based tonight just to try them out. I’ve seen that they are a nice base on double sided coloring books with colored pencil on top for shading. As long as you don’t over color an area with the marker it won’t ghost if the paper is good enough quality. I’m excited to get my water based tomorrow! Great video!
Are you sure that Ohuhu use pigment ? I think they are dye based both for alcohol and water based markers. Because these are not lightfast. Also there is a way to blend water based markers.. with water 💦

I’ve tried both but i personally prefer gouache paint. Just because it gives me unlimited colors, and I can achieve any blend or texture I want :))
Gouache
