I had a 6 inch adult in my old 180 gallon reef tank, a big old softy it was and as playful as a puppy. His favourite snack was fresh washed slug out of the garden. Handsome rascal he is!
These guys are ADORABLE! I always look for them at the aquarium, and they're always swimming back and forth! Very cute and silly fish! Remind me of penguins for some reason :)
That's been my favorite fish since I was a child. I would love to have one breeding pair with an elaborate aquatic system with a hidden area for a nesting site away from the site of humans so they feel most comfortable and safe to breed. Maybe a camera to monitor the nesting site.
Ive found one of the keys to keeping larger, aggressive species is tank size and swimming space. Wrasses, Tangs, etc will go bonkers when the environment in which they live are inadequate. Large reef fish will act out aggressively when the tank is too small!
some of the predatory fish that 'can' become very tame and friendly remind me a lot of more or less wild cats in a way, and all of them are pretty intelligent. there are amazing videos of rather cuddly moray eels. ;)
If I get one it’s gonna be in a predator tank The way you describe their personality is exactly like cichlids and I’ve had cichlids my whole life because my dad kept them when I was growing up💯🐠💙🔥
I had one in a 180 gallon tank for 6 years about twenty years ago. He was the only one that lasted out of six fish and I sold him off with the tank. I have regretted it to this day.
Great informative video. I'm trying to decide between a bluelined or a clown I even considered a Undulated. I'm only going to have one fish starting out in a 75 gallon but plan on upgrading to a 200 as the fish grows. Of these three which one has the best personality and I would stand the best chance of being able to pet and hand feed?
A 12 inch Trigger would do more than draw blood in its bite.35 years ago I was bitten by a 3 inch Niger Trigger and its bite broke the skin and it bled a bit. I seen videos of big Trigger fish chewing up clams and biting chunks of coral.
I havent had a saltwater tanks in maybe 15 years..do you need to complete a nitrogen cycle or is technology differant now so you can introduce fish right away to a new tank...I am getting the itch again to do a small tank...
You said they like being in temperature of 25 degrees and 0.020. You need to clarify and correct your mistakes with annotations for beginners by telling them 75-79 degrees and 1.020 salinity. You also might want to add that they eat seaweed as well. My 9 inch clown trigger gobbles it up!
The adult tank without a blue background looks fucking more natural then the young trigger tank with blue. Iv never understood why stores or personal tank owners do this blue shit background. It's ass. Nice video though and beautiful fish 😎
Ive seen these fish so fierce they have scratched the glass... Yes..I will put my hand in the tank and feed them and pat them on the heads...LOL... Im just messing with ya... I had to laugh .... Thanks for this information... I have learned something new... (-:
@@MajesticAquariumsTV Thank you so much, I have some soft corrals not sure if copper is an option, any other suggestions, I will order anything you have for sale, I live in Florida, send me a link on how I can order from you. Love your Channel, I am a subscriber !!
you would go psycho too if you were couped up in a small box with limited space, no natural surroundings, not knowing when your next meal is, while some giant person points his fingers at you, thinking you're going to get fed.
Real bad advice mate, they can be fine for a while but then theycan suddenly go ballistic and kill everything in your tank. So why recommend them, there are many other intelligent, safer fish that interact with their owners.
I notice you edited this comment Freddie 55, and YET, you didn't add any alternative recommendations. That makes you *look* like a small dick coward, in the future, with criticism of recommendations, you should float your own ideas so your post doesn't look like an anonymous attack devoid of any useful content.
Very sad to see it..... I have seen Clown Triggers in freedom and to watch this video break my heart. I don't understand why human people want to keep animals in prisons. We are destroying the reefs whith the fucking fish tanks...
Australia's fisheries management actually make no impact to nature stocks because it is such a fertile environment www.cairnsmarine.com/worlds-best-practice/the-sustainable-choice/ some countries are terrible
I had one over 11” long. He would spit a stream of water at you when he was hungry
I did, too! Not only that, but he’d pick up a shell and tap the glass with it until I’d get him a goldfish,
@@rasputingonzales6030 that’s hilarious. All my puffers and triggers start shouting water and tapping the glass when hungery
I had one. They are personable but can be a-holes to other fish.

You had one in a reef? Afraid to put one in mine.
For me personally, I’d prefer beautiful fish over corals. Triggerfish are so endearing and friendly.

Im still a kid but this is defintly my favriot fish
Cant u get a smaller species that gets to like 8" long?
I have owned over 4 Clown Triggers and they never bit me. They were very personable and never killed any others with them.
“If you get one psycho they can be very psycho.”
You mean they get very triggered?

that 2 tone camouflage is amazing.. very pretty indeed..
I see queen angel fish with clown triggers a lot💯🐠💙🔥
We had one in an aquarium shop I worked in years ago. It got to about 15", and no one could put a hand in the tank

That thing would destroy a flowerhorn with in 1 minute. Lol

What's that strange PP in the first trigger fish tank
Would 6ft fish tank at 180gallons/681litres be ok to keep one
Cwinton 63 yes that will be ok
Puffer fish are good too. But are harder to keep
Dan Knight and poisonous
Likely to be fine depending on size
they can draw blood if they bite you do be careful

awesome clown trigger fish , accompanied with information . would they need some coral to wear the teeth down ~
aww.. hes cute little clown trigger
Wow great fish there I have a bird wrasse fish that is good size
I have seen them scratch glass too Wendy! LOL

yes there is fast start up bacterias but you still have to wait to be sure

How do you pick one up by hand out of the water when they are so aggressive? I would like to see a video of that to believe it.
Would they be ok with my Stars and Stripes puffer? The puffer will have some size on him
Small is always better, as then you know how it will become. I've been successful keeping them with carpet anemones.
I heard these fish get pretty triggered
I have a trigger in my 50 gallon tank now. Before it was empty and I had a bird in there.
How well do you think a Tesselata eel and a clown trigger would do in a 200 gallon?
Is he still ok
I assume so, we sold it
Oh
what size tank do they need
Where is this aquarium located?
Lfs
These fish are quite mean, they are best kept singly in an aquarium of their own or with a few other dominantly aggressive fish.
The adult tank without a blue background looks fucking more natural then the young trigger tank with blue. Iv never understood why stores or personal tank owners do this blue shit background. It's ass. Nice video though and beautiful fish 😎
Shit.. You must be triggered by blue backgrounds... This is the second video I've seen your comment about it.
what da fish doin

Every time I walked him around the block, he died???
That’s no good
but...but... why are they so aggressive?! Used to have a 4" and chased every fish in the tank, on the second day!
+Andrew Lucfr to secure territory
+Majestic AquariumsTV I got a other trigger
This should be the last fish you put in tank get small one and start feeding out of hand

They're mandatory in a predator not reef tank
The bird wrasse fish I seem them take a fish apart
normally yes
I think you meant to reply to someone but you made a comment instead
Get a clown
Majestic AquariumsTV I had a maroon and she was a bad ass attacked everything but her anemone
No you are thinking of parrotfish
They are expensive
i dont like how you used Pit bulls in that context. just like the fish, pit bulls are not all the same when it comes to aggression.
THΩSΣ IT βITΣ
Might as well use them on the barbie!
No good for human entertainment-Good for injestation?
Maybe a good use is to keep my 4th wife at bay?

Nah
Nope
Negatory
