    Just to correct your info, The berbers or Amazigh do not only live in tribes they are everywhere either urban or rural areas.

      exactly! my grandpa was berber and lived in rabat , but i never knew until now, cos he always spoke arabic/darija, but it was never his first lanuage, very interesting, another thing most morrocans actually have berber ancestry but they don't seem to realize that they just think they're arabs

      @REDDEADANDGTACLUB 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe a modern constructed Amazighi language (that unifies all Amazighi languages) could help bring awareness to the situation. Especially if it was taught well at school.
      As for are they Arab or not, you will need to define what "Arab" means first. Many are still using the 1400 years old definition, which isn't accurate anymore. Being Arab was defined as being a *unique* descent from Qahtanite (original Arabs), and Adnanites (Mesopotamian-Arabs, Quraish was considered to be of this descent). Today's genetics changed greatly, many of the Quraish family are intermarrying with other families; for example, the king of Jordan married a non-Quraishi wife, and that also goes for the king of Morocco).
      The Arab identity is no more bounded by ethnicity, it is now a unifying identity, and under it, people can become all other identities (Amazighi, Phoenician, Yemenite, Assyrian, etc.).

    As a Moroccan, I can vouch everything you've mentioned in this video, the Berber people really are the most hospitable people on the planet, I've personally had the pleasure of experiencing such hospitality several times while travelling the mountains.

    Ethiopians and Morrocans have very similar culture. Even the manner of eating is the same. Also the way the inside of the house is painted reminds me of the inside of Ethiopian churches. There is a word in Amharic called "Berbere" which is a red spice the Ethiopians use in all of their food.

    Israel, that's it! After 27.000.000 views you got your final degree. This is your best film on a typical BBC scale. Everything is perfect just as I taught you. Even Cecil B. DeMille had no better start. Continue in this way and have a good luck...

    true infomations. i was raised in this kind of evirement, i wish everything stays the same but things change. in the future we won't find something like this and unfortunately it may become just a forgotten history, jewish use to live along amazigh, my grandmother always tolds me stories about who they lives when i was young. they use to speak tamazight so they were close to imazighn more than arabs. they use to have special traditions, but they have immigrated to israel long time ago and they lost a part of their amazigh identitie, who many young israeli can speak tamazight now ? probably non, they may have their jewish identitie but amazigh tradition had been lost.
    in the future tamazight may go extinct, since i see families with children who don't know to speak tamazight, what is worst they consider themselfs arabs.
    let's just hope that this language with almost 3000 yeards can survive somehow in this turbulent time.

      ay taf I know for a fact that all that you write is true. What a shame that the horrible "Berber" word is still employed. You are such a beautiful kind, honest and generous people. I wish God would allow me to spend my last years among such great people, in such beautiful surroundings. ONLY the Amazigh people have treated Jews as equals. That is fact that will NEVER be forgotten. But you are wrong on one thing: There are still Israelis of Chleuh (Tamazigh) origin who still speak the language. I personally know some. Few, but it is still there. Azul, brothers!

    I have a question, my mother told me that she is a "chaouia", That her family belong to that tribe... But she also say that she is not an amazigh, what does it mean? If the chaouia are amazigh people, and she belong to that tribe, from the city of Khouribga, thats mean that she is an amazigh too, right?

Youssef bno tachfine brought them back and gave them the lands of tadla and doukala. Check your history. Ma3rakat Al achraf. 😉. what are you saying ?! Oh Gosh another extreme afrocentrist claiming that the berbers are some sort of ottoman or roman offshoots.. we're really tired of it. Berbers have been in North Africa for 30,000 years ! They are real ethnic berbers indigenous to North Africa. You really don't know features and ottomans have different features and look. Moreover The ottomans never really conquered Morocco only Algeria,Tunisia and Libya...
