I didn't even know there WERE edible puffballs. Those 'warts' on those puffballs look exactly like skin tags. I love the scientific name; I can't wait to tell my grands about it!
You know I love hearing from viewers sharing with children and grandchildren! My dream of course is that my videos engage families in learning about nature together and going outside to discover! Thanks so much for sharing that with me!
Hi Frank from Pennsylvania Jeff. As always awsome. Im back to doing fun stuff on the game lands. Bridge building is over for this year. And hunting season is here in Pennsylvania. Thursday mowing roads and parking lots on state game lands 067. I saw a very large flock of turkeys and 3 very nice legal bucks. All in the same herbacious openings. And a very large black snake. He was sunning on the road. I love the fall. Our trees are very colorful this year. Our game land 067 tour is October 20 this year. It allows civilians to drive where we are only allowed. And will show case our woodrat habitat work. .😊😊
@natureatyourdoor I shot my crossbow yesterday. 4 shots. 20,25,30,35 yards. Bullseye. I got a tree seat last year. Best hunting seat I've ever used. Straps to a tree then unfolds into a very good seat. I put a foam pad and im good to go. Very comfy. So I can set very still. And you set level. God bless good hunting my teacher. Love your channel. I learn so much. 😊😊😊
@@natureatyourdoor I check mine and then go hunting. I don't try to shoot past 40 yards. I've gotten 3 does so far. Complet pass through. And very short tracking. I have I buck and 6 doe tags. For Pennsylvania. Fall is here and I love it. Calling for snow flurries this week. The only bad thing. My Beth hates this weather. She's happy when it's 100 deg. I'm grilling on the porch now. Watching the mountain behind our house state game lands 073 and loving life. Wearing my wool stormy Kromer shirt. God is good. God bless my friend
THANK YOU! Great video, Frank. I love finding puffballs. I've never eaten any. I prefer to stick with the easy mushrooms for consumption. Like Lion's Mane, Morel, Bear's Head, Chicken of the Woods, Indigo Milk Cap(Lactarius indigo) and others, that to me, even a novice can easily tell the difference. If you're new to shroom hunting, definitely join a mushroom club near you!
Amazing, often saw them when mountainbiking, never considered them edible. Live right at the edge of Black Forest, we also have the dark brown ones and the huge (football) ones, the latter are edible that i knew. They are called Bovists over here.
@bertrandolf9733 have you seen my Switzerland playlist? Do you have the fire salamander there too? (Btw I was in Konstanz a few weeks ago...ferry to Schaffhausen...soooo much bird life on that river!
@@natureatyourdoor Wow very cool, then you passed Radolfzell where i was born and raised - Max Planck Institute for animal behavior there too! Now i live at the other side of Black Forest, close to France. Good thing you didn't go further than Schaffhausen on the river 😅 Will watch your Switzerland playlist now! :) French Vosges mountains are close and amazing too :)
Just love your channel! ❣️
Thank you so much!!! That always means so much to me!

Those are all great mushrooms!

And yes fire salamander here too :) 10 minutes from here but i rarely see them
As kids we always squeezed them to watch the powder come out. Would never entertain eating any outdoor mushrooms or any look-a-like.
Same here! 😁
