Honestly as an american, I don't see war with Russia being that likely. While our nations may have rivaled eachother in the past, I think both Russia and the US know not to go to war. I mean, it wouldn't be the first time our governments negotiated out of armageddon. I can imagine a limited war with North Korea happening, but not a world war. I know China has interest in a buffer-state with South Korea, but I doubt they can justify supporting North Korea. I think India and Pakistan would be the place for ww3 to spark. Their conflict has gone on for too long, and there is too much for foreign powers to lose. Australia and china could go very sour too.
I think all three of these countries (USA China and Russia) have seen the devastation of war and what it can do. So that is a buffer. As far as North Korea goes I have no doubt in my mind that China would still support North Korea in the event of a war to keep American allied soldiers from having a border with them and allowing a unified Korea to challenge them economically. No doubt. I also have no doubt that if push came to shove that Russia and China will do whatever they can to keep America from gaining any more influence in their region than they already have. I think history has a way of repeating itself and I think it is inevitable that there will be another world war.

Honestly as an american, I don't see war with Russia being that likely. While our nations may have rivaled eachother in the past, I think both Russia and the US know not to go to war. I mean, it wouldn't be the first time our governments negotiated out of armageddon.
I can imagine a limited war with North Korea happening, but not a world war. I know China has interest in a buffer-state with South Korea, but I doubt they can justify supporting North Korea.
I think India and Pakistan would be the place for ww3 to spark. Their conflict has gone on for too long, and there is too much for foreign powers to lose.
Australia and china could go very sour too.
I think all three of these countries (USA China and Russia) have seen the devastation of war and what it can do. So that is a buffer.
As far as North Korea goes I have no doubt in my mind that China would still support North Korea in the event of a war to keep American allied soldiers from having a border with them and allowing a unified Korea to challenge them economically. No doubt.
I also have no doubt that if push came to shove that Russia and China will do whatever they can to keep America from gaining any more influence in their region than they already have. I think history has a way of repeating itself and I think it is inevitable that there will be another world war.

I'm afraid of the CCP's lack of concern for their own people, which could lead to war when "saving face" is more important that the common folk. However, what gives me hope is that the Chinese People are having it good right now, so they may not support a government that wants to lead to WW3. Oddly the recent border conflict between them seems very downplayed where I am (US.) Like nobody's talking about it at all - hope it doesn't escalate even further.
I don't think it will. India can't afford to invade China, and China knows India's good relations with the US, who would only wait for something like that to happen, but also with Russia.
Both sides are trying their best to de-scalate, at least in appearances. Both want that strategic region but neither are crazy enough start something nobody know how will end.
Unless they really, really, *really* need to distract their own people with a external enemy.
