My grandfather also served in NEFA in Walong in 1962. Later he had to be retired coz he was injured badly. He was in the Dogra Regiment. He died young, at 52,way before I was born but his legacy continues in our village.

We have many Nepali Gurkha serving the country. Some people look down on Nepali by calling them with different names, we must stop that. I appreciate army because they never discriminate anyone on ground of religion, cast or race. Religion is never an issue, they build temple, church etc where ever they station and very secular in nature.👍

RR battalions are based on deputations from various regiments not a set regiment. So it's very much possible
