- Lamar Odom cheated death 17 months ago. “I’m a walking miracle,” says the former NBA star and ex-husband of Khloé Kardashian, admitting he suffered 12 strokes and two heart attacks after being found comatose October 13, 2015, at a Las Vegas-area brothel. Cocaine use and reckless behavior had already ended his four-year marriage. Yet Kardashian delayed a divorce to support his recovery, ultimately refiling in May 2016 after the Queens native was photographed drinking at L.A.’s Beverly Center.

And I'm just a regular person who spun out of control and self medicated myself after I became the victim of a very brutal assault when a stranger attacked me which hasn't been easy but it's gotten much easier with the hell of an entire team of psychologists and therapists who helped me through the pain and post-traumatic stress disorder I still struggle with almost 4 years after my assault. But I can't even begin to imagine how incredibly difficult recovery must be for someone that's all over the tabloids and who's recovery is plastered all over the world. So I'm definitely pulling for him*

He has experienced so much loss in his life. I feel his pain about hurting his family and loves. I am a recovering cocaine addict as well. I destroyed my daughters heart. Judge horribly by my family. People need not judge if they have never walked in our footprint. He is do in love with Khloe, he knows he destroyed her heart as well. This is amazing and I REALLY appreciate Lamar's honesty. There is a lot of shame and depression that comes along with adultery/drug abuse and the fact that Lamar kept it real and also came clean about his drug use is brave. This could help someone else on that same path and his remorse will bring redemption.

When Chloe got married around the same Time I got married. We r both cancers and both got married to druggist and pathological liars. I still stayed with him for 4 years. Went against my family and hid all his mistakes just like Chloe did. Today I am married to the most genuine and honest man but when I see this it breaks my heart for Chloe cuz I know how this feels like.
My heart breaks for what you've had to live with. And I'm very truly happy that you were able to find happiness in all that darkness. Addiction is a horrible disease, and I hope you understand that he never did anything purposely to hurt you.....but I understand that it doesn't excuse his behaviour either. I just hope that you find it in your heart to forgive him one day, even if you will spend the rest of your life with a new wonderful man who deserves you. All the best to you in your new life. I'm happy you were able to find love with a great man who deserves you because you are definitely a great woman for trying to help your ex for such a long time against your family's wishes. But I believe when someone is that strong into recovering and being that so raw with themselves there’s no way his not going to attract a beautiful soul who’s going to love him and care for him. I believe the next person he finds will be the love of his life where he will a health love. Praying he stays strong and learns to love himself first.

I don’t respect the things he did, but I absolutely believe in second chances and people changing, and this was a respectful interview and he seems like a straight-up dude. He was very honest and made no excuses. I respect that.
I got sober January 10th, 2017. It’s crazy my 2 year anniversary just passed. It seems like so much longer and so much shorter at the same time. He said “if you’re trying to be in a functioning relationship and you’re a functioning drug addict, and that person’s not a functioning drug addict- it probably won’t work.” My ex helped me get sober. I would leave rehabs. I’d done it repeatedly. But I had to get sober. So I got the meds I could to take the edge off and locked myself in my room for three days. And they were there, for the 18 hours of agony, for the crying and shaking and wanting to leave but not being able to move. And I made it out the other side and never looked back, and I’ll never be able to thank them enough. But they spiraled. The drugs kept getting more dangerous, stronger analogues. Brought into my room, done in front of me. Brought into my mom’s house. I’d wake them up from being passed out on the bathroom floor with a needle in their leg. It was bad. Really, really bad. They could still go to work everyday, drive, put on a super professional face. But there was chaos at home. It doesn’t work, a functioning addict and a sober person, even though I don’t know how I stayed sober with drugs at my fingertips for the 7 months after getting sober. I had to set boundaries, and when they were crossed, I had to break it off. I don’t know how they’re doing, and it breaks my heart. I wish them nothing but the best. But I needed my life to be healthy and my boundaries to be clear. Now I have a beautiful girlfriend and things are amazing, but this hits super close to home.
Anyway. I guess I needed to tell that story to the TH-cam realm? I’m sure nobody cares lol, but I really do wish Odom the best. He got a second chance to make a better life and learn from his mistakes, and he’s clearly very honest. I hope he finds happiness.

*I always knew that Lamar was gonna pull through this. Unfortunately now he has to live with the regret and remorse of the destruction and havoc he left in his path because he **_CLEARLY_** is still head over heels in love with khloe. And I think both of them are always going to love each other. There is so much fake bullshit on that "reality" tv show, but their relationship was very genuine and real. But even after that when he was about to die she dropped the divorced paper to be by his side thought out the recovery process.
