This is my favorite conntent you've ever made, I love these vids with you talking while playing. It doesn't matter to us if you play a bit worse since it's still incredibly good top level play, and hearing your insight is incredibly valuable.
I learned to incorporate more pressure by capping sacred sites. I don't do that often enough I also really like the knight timing dive against English 2tc
Their hunted cabin will produce more than 2 scouts and the proffesional scouts will drop.the carcass of the huntable. Yea grab the sheeps too. None other than russ that can do that.. 3 scouts early on youbwill grab most of the sheeps then going hunting with proffesional scouts
I am strong in early game, but when going 2 TC I always fall behind in eco. Walking all over the map to take as much hunt and boar as possible seems to produce too much idle time, and when I need to transition into farms, it's awkward AF, all the vills need to run back across the map, hunting cabins cost more wood than mills...all of this results in me falling behind farm civs and lose late game. On the other hand, just going farms makes even less sense. No reason to pick Rus to do that. It just seems so hard to balance the eco right. Any advice?
Based on your comment alone, it seems to be a multitasking issue, which is understandable since Rus is more multitasking heavy than other civs. But posting a replay in reddit/TH-cam would give us more context. For example you might not take the Boar/hunt early enough, and when it comes to transitioning to farms, the villagers out in the map might not need to return to your base at all: either use the wood villagers in base to farm and the hunt villagers to gather wood nearby, or make the farm right then and there if it's safe enough. Placing hunting cabins for hunt near a woodline would justify the higher cost, since they would return the resources over time.
@@Falindio There are a lot of things I could tweak there. For instance, lure the boar to the wood line before killing and gathering it. That would generate more passive gold. Be mindful of sheep running out earlier, since suddenly running out and going on hunt all at once is just asking for sudden drops in food supply. These are just awareness and multitasking skill issues. Hard to lure a boar to wood, then make tower + hunting cabin when you are raiding with knights at the same time. It just requires more micro skill than some of the easier civs. One thing I have improved upon in the meanwhile is: I found that it usually makes more sense to just take the deer and boar that are somewhat close to my base, and not take those on the other side of the map. When I realize the game goes long enough that I have to make farms anyway, might as well start making them after the 2nd or 3rd hunting patch. I was too greedy in wanting to take advantage of my civ bonus all the way to the last deer. But taking the deer and boar on the opposite side of the map turns out to be an uncalculated risk. I may not be able to defend it even when I have a tower, just too far away to save the vills. Plus after hunting I have to either run all the way back across the map to my base - which is too much idle time and not even worth the hunting bonus - or I have to farm on the opposite side of the map, which has me end up with chaotic economy, farms around scattered hunting cabins all over the map, impossible to defend in the later game. I eventually started to compromise and only take the hunt on my half of the map. This seems to make more sense, judging from my games so far.
Valdemar has a good build order for a fast stable build that I like alot, work well with 1TC feudal all in. wam also has a good double hunting cabin openeing where you dont mine gold and you hit castle very quickly, played as 1TC but also 2TC.
Sorry Beasty, but these are starting to turn into your regular games. You are being very quiet, especially in the China game! Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought these were guide videos?
I used to do 1TC feudal all-in every game. Climbed to plat 3. Watched this video and now I'm Gold 2. Thanks!
enlighten me on if this is a joke or not
Skill issue then
@@KLATUU. It's not lol, I just decided to try more builds after this video. Happy to say I'm back to plat 2 now with a way more diverse playstyle ^^

Babe wake up new beasty pro strats just dropped
Awesome stuff
love these videos. been looking forward to the rus one the most
Yeah I'm a regular Rus player (casual) and I've been playing other civs because they feel tough to play unless you have some real good APM.
Beyond being a calvary/knight civ (which are always more micro intensive) I dont think Rus is particularly APM intensive at a casual level.

@@kooroshrostami27 It all comes with experience, and then your intuition and game sense just takes over.
Do you think it is worth making tower for wood boost?

When's Japan comming? :o
militia remain at full HP when fully healed????
If you let them reach 1 hp and then heal them, yes (unlike in AoE3 where they will start to loose health as soon as they get fully healed)
