A Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lobby in which only one person plays as Waluigi is something I thought I'd never see.
I once got in a lobby where 6 out of 11 people were Waluigi.
I didn't do well. I no longer play online regionals between 12am and 6am.

Daisy with Sport Bike, GLA wheels and hylian kite/golden glider is a pretty good combo 🤣
It still bothers me how each of the Koopalings got their own slot on the roster, eating up eight total slots. Those slots could have been reserved for other characters, like Captain Falcon, or seven variants of me.

Anything with roller wheels and either biddy buggy or mr scooty is meta
Your breakdown of the acronym meta was close but it's Most Effective Tactic Available
The Biddybuggy and Rollers can be used with anyone, and I’ve found light characters like Baby Mario to be even more effective. You can ignore the speed and weight stats in MK8, as they generally mean nothing. Acceleration is absolutely the most important, with Handling in 2nd place and Traction in 3rd. The higher your acceleration, the better.

2:13 Mario kart try hard hear there using baby peach and that car set because it gives max acceleration and is very op on certain maps because you can spam drifting left and right and you can actually go straight well drifting because the handling

I've been playing mariokart since I was like 2. I've played Double dash, DS, wii, 7 and 8 DX I've loved them all. I pretty much exclusively played as small characters like dry bones and the standard carts and end up doing pretty well even in a full "waluigi meta" lobby. Pointless ramble I know but I just love mariokart it basically raised me ok

Edit: also the best combination in this game is dry bowser, b-dash, super glider, and slick tires. It outputs the best possible speed.

Ok, NO, the most common combination is "the wrigller kart", and of the two tiny tires, and in my opinion the cloud glider, mainly cause it gives the most star boosts.
I hope they add build track next year that would be cool :)
