Correction!!! The stomata of C4 plant is open at night only to minimize water lost, due to type error in the video (13:34) it says open at day time( this is wrong)
good question there are many difference b/c C4 and CAM plants some of them are: #C4 Plant:- 1. C4 stage (oxaloacetate) and Calvin cycle (3-phosphoglycerate) are not separated in time). 2. Reduces photorespiration by carrying out carbon dioxide fixation and the Calvin cycle in separate cells (i.e., carbon fixation takes place in both mesophyll and bundle sheath cells) 3. Plants are grow at hot and sunny environment. #CAM Plants: 1. Reduces photorespiration by executing carbon dioxide fixation and the Calvin cycle at different periods (i.e, Produces oxaloactate during the #night and 3-phosphoglycerate at #day) 2. in CAM plants, carbon fixation takes place only in mesophyll cells. 3. Plants are grow at very hot and dry environment.
