This is gonna be a FUN RIDE! And Iv read this game will get even more stories (post Main Campaign stuff and the like) as time goes on. They also added MORE CONTENT to the main campaign as well. (missions that require you to use your Movement units, so hope you kept them!) But yeah, gonna be cool to see how Legions Army plays and upgrades vs the Human Army.
@jaywerner8415 legion play much more like a traditional RTS. With resources in battle (energy). You complete objectives to earn more and kills also supply funds. Between battles. You use upgrade points to research and buy equipment for your army. Then you can also design units with upgrades and create blueprints. These are then spawned in battle as more powerful than your standard units but they are limited in number and cost more energy. While standard units are unlimited besides being limited by energy stocks. If units survive you can keep them. So there is an interesting concept where you can design a blueprint. Spawn the unit in battle then keep it afterwards. Legion units feel expendable in their application. With specialised units being the shock troops or counter units (Anti tank etc.)
@@CmdrTyrael I know their is at least one new mission. But didn't have any Movement troops to do the mission with (opps) and after Fort worth my army was so decimated I kinda gave up and FOLDED. Then I tried playing on realistic and OOF, life is pain!
The base game saw an update, with more missions added to vanilla campaign. apparently, we might be getting a sandbox or Conquest mode at some point too
I would've hoped they would improve the AI a bit, so that you'd feel like the humans have a self preservation instinct and kite with their Bradleys and Abrams, break sight when reloading and so on. Especially since those vehicles were made for that kind of manoeuvering. Too bad.
I agree. The AI is well tuned for legion tactics but you're totally right about human "self-preservation" They survived 25 years of end of the world to throw their lives away in a fire fight.
@@CmdrTyrael if their AI system was actually set up well it would've been very easy to program this. In that, this game really feels like Empire at War. Great gameplay loop, very rough around the edges.
I remember your Founder playthrough and I was like, Wow Legion really is just feeding you there units piecemeal at the start. Lol and then you do the same thing to them, so maybe this is the way it is mean't to be
The game certainly pushes you to be smart with your units and does a good job of asymmetrical warfare. Legions playstyle is clever in that units are expendable if the objective can be achieved with low energy cost. Humans can't afford to lose lives. Thanks for watching!
@Nitram4392 still a casual youtuber, I have limted time to play. I sometimes skip sections I feel aren't necessary for the story telling Or retell the story myself through commentary. I promise you won't miss anything crucial to the plot.
Or "hey officer, I see you are storming the city. Here are some secondary missions for you! They are on timer and if you fail them the enemy will gain more forces and your support will be restricted. Oh did I mentioned that those missions are scattered across different corners of the map, right next to enemy forces? Good luck!"
lol Legion pushes you to play that way, as long as you are energy positive, losses don't matter too much. playing like that as the Founders/movement ends your game early or inspires endless save scumming XD
I love when games make you play from the enemy's perspective, especially when in RTS you see a op veicle and say "I wish I had that too"
The legion tank is a symbol of the defeat of humanity until it falls into my hands. NOW teams with recoilless rifles can pose a threat to him
Tin foil hat theory. Digital Storm is originally skynet cyberweapon that got time travel shenanigans and ended up here.
That was one of my thoughts too! maybe a cross between realities see's skynet being a major threat.

Just the soundtrack is worth the price!
The soundtrack is a banger, one of the things that drew me to the game originally!
I would like a terminator game presented like C&C
IE, this game plus base building
I am dying for a revival of the CNC style of base builders brought into a new age. combat like this would be a major plus.
@@CmdrTyrael Tempest rising is one, Dust front is another
was just thinking how the intro sounds like Cabal giving you a briefing
@@vd780 It was! XD
Kane is doing his usual background manipulations since he was whispering in Stalins ear
To me, it sounds like Zordon from Power Rangers and CABAL from CNC are working hand in hand 🤣

Finally someone going all in 😅good luck on realistic great dlc specially for that low price
Can't wait!
The is a mod terminator overhaul what makes the vanilla campaign more interesting in case you like to revised it at some point
I'll have to check that out after I finish this run!

How quickly will you upload these? I want more already!!
Looks Hela fun cant wait to get the game an play .
Why are you skipping the story chat windows?

They say this game is Hard but they should have played their last game Syrian Warfare. Peak Russian game design 😂
🤣 I haven't played that one. I did hear it was a pain simulator.
“hey SWAT officer, please destroy this entire mechanized force. By the way we’re not giving you any armored vehicles”

lo that would be an insane challenge. this playthrough was a "no pause" "no save scum" run XD

how did humanity lose against this bum ass ai lmao, got nothing on skynet
Without spoiling it.... skynet might just be a thing... 😏
