Nihal sings much better than some of the original songs of Arijith. You have to compare the songs which Arjith has sung on the stage shows and not in the studio recording. He has a very clear and beautiful voice, capable of singing any sort of song. Someone may win among the singers with voting, who are singing with their screaming voice, like the old competitions and finally end up with nowhere like the previous winners. Only for TRP, they have kept them in the competition. Some are good in old songs, but those singers will not work out for the new generation songs. But Nihal and Sreesha will be the pick of the music directors after the competition.

Nihal, I would say is superb. He has a great voice and a tonal quality, gives a vibrant and an energetic to all types of songs he sings. In the beginning I liked to listen to pawandeep's song, I still keep watching but his voice somewhere in few songs doesn't seem to be energetic in comparison to Nihal. Nihals tonal quality is so superb that he justifies to all types of songs so far he has sung.
