Its kinda funny that you said that, in the practice session for the unplugged set Dave plays the drum pattern for Drain you and Kurt kinda plays the rhythm for it (I think cant remember right now), Anyway Kurt thought the song couldnt be played acoustically and sound proper (Im guessing keeping the same intensity as the original) It could have been something beautiful :(

They don't look look similar, sound similar, play similar or have anything else in common. If you wanna see someone actually similar to Kurt, check out the channel Fish and his 2008 cover of Drain You, that one freaked me out a little

honesty you have the best covers. Your soft voice and the sweet spin you put on these tracks brings me a lot of joy especially when im in a dark place (every 2 to 3 weeks). Keep up the covers! = D
She changes the grunge's drives in higher tones. So beautiful.
I think I worked out some keys reasons why her voice suits Nirvana so well. One key is the yodel (hard change from chest to head voice), such as in the do re mi chorus. The other factors are the somewhat closed blues/country timbre which still kinda belted. Overall she getsa a similar timbre despite having no vocal distortion, and navigates up and down her register with a similar style to Cobain.
I never thought I could like Nirvana covers this much, I thought Kurt Cobain's voice was paramount to the songs feel, but I actually like many of these covers better. Maybe that's partly because I have less angst than I did as a 16 year old and the smother sound suits that.
You should do more Nirvana covers they're great!

Love your version. This was apparently Kurt's favourite nirvana song. Such a simple tune, but comes alive when the right person plays it. I do an unplugged version using Kurt's voice.
