Andre 3K has nothing to gain from dropping a solo album and I can't think of any other MC comp for him. He has all the love and top 5 MC respect off doing zero solo work while every other duo/group member has dropped at least 1 solo project. 3 Stacks gets to have his cake *and* eat it too. Salute b/c he cracked the code and leaned how to flip being a non-traditional “artist”(as opposed to being an MC) into that Pulitzer level acclaim. The Love Below is effectively his solo album debut. I list Outkast as 1/2 because the product is clearly greater than the sum. The chemistry is too potent, 3K and Big Boi make each other better and aint no way there’s a 7th place gap between them

The label could've made the Purple Tape a la Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star, but they decided to let Rae have it as a solo project.
