    I got one in Paris last 2 weeks. Was thinking of buying a black bay for ages. But the stars were just aligned that day! Beautiful city, beautiful sunny winter day, great day with family, beautiful and unique watch. Only took 15 min and almost missed our train to Amsterdam! That weekend in Paris was so lovely. And now I have a beautiful watch for that beautiful day

    Congratulations on the new watch! I too, picked up the same watch from the Tudor boutique in Toronto Canada a week ago. It's funny that we share the same reasons for picking up the bronze after mulling over all the previous versions. The bronze just pops, the 3-6-9 dial makes it unique amongst other 58's, and the full bracelet + updated clasp is just a winner all around. I love my new Bronze Bay, and I am sure you will enjoy yours tremendously too.

  • @austintexan7418
    @austintexan7418 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    This video does give a good idea of the color compared to other reviews. I love my Navy Blue Black Bay 58. I managed to order this version from a boutique. When it arrived, I could not warm up to it (I tried). You need to wear mostly earth-tone clothing. It was never going to work with my blue shirts (in the videos, it's hard to understand this). Many photos make it look dark, like it would go with a wider variety of clothing. In person (in most daylight), the bezel looks like a beautiful copper, and the chocolate brown on the dial dominates it. I even tried my shirts that are camouflage green. The combination did not pop for me. I dumped this watch quickly within a day (at a significant loss). DO NOT ORDER IT ONLINE WITHOUT TRYING IT ON FIRST. It's not the bronze metal that is the problem. It's the copper/chocolate combination on the bezel and dial. More than any other Black Bay, try this on before buying.

    • @Timeandtidewatches
      @Timeandtidewatches 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      All fair comments - I would like to try it on leather to see how that goes - the bracelet really amps the golden tones.

    • @austintexan7418
      @austintexan7418 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Timeandtidewatches The bracelet . You can swim with it. The watch feels lighter than my Blue Black Bay 58. The problem is that the brown in the dial commands your attention. You have to really like brown a lot. You need to feel comfortable that brown looks good with your clothing (or not care). This watch will attract attention. Alone on my skin it looked good. It did not work well with clothing I wear. I was not going to enjoy it so it needed to go.

    Congratulations. You have just bought a dive watch that can't be taken to the sea, as the bronze of the case will cause accelerated galvanic corrosion to the aluminum insert. It's happened on the first Black Bay Bronze (43mm), which any 16 year old taking his basic chemistry course could have told them. But they have decided to persist with what amounts to a massive design flaw, when the obvious fix was to use a ceramic bezel.
