I get chills the way she delivers that line- the restraint she showed earlier really set that up well. I love this production- John Shrapnel at the end turns in the performance of a lifetime.
".. Where are our values - patriotism, civic duty?" "Death is another country. Such things may not be valued there, may even be crimes." Have always loved this production of Antigone. Such a shame that the visual quality is not great but the acting is wonderful and this 2,500 year old play is so powerful and eternally relevant. A tour de force from Juliet Stevenson. Can recommend Genevieve Bujold in Jean Anouilh's 'Antigone' as well.
This is the film adaptation so yes, but they cut a tiny bit out between scenes because these videos are used for some of the online schools and other classes. (like with the one soldier in the previous section who was in the middle of talking).
The interaction between Juliet Stevenson and John Shrapnel is phenomenal.
Well said.
UNBURIED!!
This actress just knocks this out of the park

This is actually getting really good.
Creon upheld equality before the law, even if this hurt her niece, but this led to a tragig end as the law itself violated a higher moral law
The progress of the law is majestic and inexorable
I kid you not I was watching this for my literature assignment lol.
Love the truth , thank you for the ethic your lovely art is a great!
I’m in love with the confidence
