Thanks for posting the Grand Finale. We have a ToM machine at work and even though I've cracked 1B points a few times, I've only once completed 3 out of the 4 required goals for the finale. The only time I've ever gotten Midnight is as a trapdoor reward.
i remember playing this when i was very young. this game was awesome , especially when it takes your ball and it just stays there. good times. thank god i was born in 1980 :)
Friend of mine had this machine in his man cave. I studied this game and modified it with the dev menu, and played it to it's fullest extent. I was able to whoop all of my buddies, and broke the high score limit of 10B, (The counter actually resets to 0.) Unfortunately the spinning trunk quit working, and the tiger saw, and the trap door, and a lot of the lights are out. I would definitely own this machine in my life if the opportunity presents itself. I seriously came here to this video to hear the nostalgic sound effects. If you have the manual that should come with it, there are actually secret settings! If you hold one of the flippers while starting the game up, two different modes can be used. 10/10 great machine.
Forgot to say, you can get a 4 ball multiball with the tiger saw lock, and timing the 3rd trunk catch for multiball. Its great to be playing a competitive game with your friends with the 4 player limit, and pull out a quad ball on the field to rack those points up.
Oh the memories. Also forgot, if you work on your flipper speeds, you can spam the left round lane at the right speed to light the combo faces. Pressing the flippers changes which face is lit up, and each time you light both faces you get a 2x, 4x and an 8x point combo. When you pull of the quad multi ball, with an 8x combo and score a few jackpots, nobody can beat you.
I haven't played this game in about 20 years. I missed those days my dad took me to the bowling alley, where I played pinball and arcade with Junior Mints and a Coke while my dad was on a bowling league and gave me $5 for every strike he bowled.
this is one of the most beutifull pinballs machines ever. i like twilight zones gameplay more. but the look of this is just awesome. especially with gold legs, rails and door :)

I finally finished grand finale yesterday on PBA on XBOX and came here to rewatch the end scenario. There's very little fanfare for finishing the game (maybe because there's so much fanfare DURING the game?) Anyhow, well done! Some really incredible saves there.
:) Oh and I got the Grand Finale wizard goal last night. Your vid must have inspired me because I had been playing it for nearly 3 weeks without being able to get it. Someday I'd love to own a real machine. Once I get a bigger place I will start my pin collecting.
Nice! I am loving this table on the Williams Pinball Arcade at the moment. I used to love pinball machines in arcades when I was younger, but I don't think I've ever had the chance to play on a real Theatre Of Magic. Nice to see it in real life action! It's also kinda spooky how similar the ball physics are to the computer game version, especially coming off the bumpers!
I love this pin I have played this at the local arcade and on the pinball arcade. The only thing I am not wild about is the scoring is outrageous with getting millions all over the place.

Really depends on the game. If the game requires you to make specific shots or to actually complete goals you often can't avoid trapping or you will be screwed by timers, slingshots and bumpers. HS2, DE-SW (Bumpers) or MM, MB (Timers) require some accurate aim for example. I only played TOM on PBA so far and this real one seems to tolerate a lot more - The Ball is rather slow, seems to bounce up from center drain, trunk seems huge. Maybe it's not very steep or with many posts installed?
I do death saves all the time when I play,any time it goes down the right lane with enough speed a nudge at the right time will pop it out up through the flippers back into play!!!
Oh man! When I was a young kid (I'm 50) this was my favorite pinball machine at the arcade. I probably just loved the, "eye candy" her sexy voice and the cleavage. If my wife would allow me to ever own a pinball machine, this would be the one I'd want. So cool! :)
You have to complete 4 modes shown in the inserts (lights) under the illusions - complete all the illusions (trunk lights as you call them), spell THEATRE (by shooting the left loop so it returns on the right wireform), get Midnight Madness (by shooting the right loop and advancing the clock to midnight) and have got multiball, once you have done these the Finale is lit!
Can someone explain how you get to grand finale? I have the PBA version for Xbox. I thought you had to complete all the magic trunk games, but it doesn't look like you did that.
I think you didn't notice because you're fixed on the ball more than you're paying attention to the play field haha. I have the game as well, it also doesn't help that the game's lighting is well lit all around the machine in the bar, which in my opinion should have been darker like a majority of bars you see, and go to, and would have really shown off the lighting of the machine,or should have had a light setting that could dim the lights in the bar. They could have done better.
One Question: Did you bought balls? Normally there are only 3 balls but you had 5 or 6? Yes you had an extra ball but i thaught thats strange! My dad skipped 3 MRDS. :) NICE GAME
Yeah, time and illusions are somewhat harder than Theatre or Multiball. I was also very disappointed when the Grand Finale completition did not have a great ending animation. I expected it to be a lot more like TOTAN - 2 stage finale and great ending animation. I also don't like how you can't really advance towards the finale during multiballs.
the pinballcompany . com have an Arabian Nights machine for sale @ $8000... this ToM machine, if mint as he said... I would think he got maybe $9000 - $10000... "regular" used ones fetch around $7000
It looks more flashy than in real life perhaps because of the camera. but yeah the real life version has a lot better lighting then in the pinball arcade game of course :P./
It is truly a great game, very fast and with a great flow. The only big weak thing about this game is the finale. It is extremely weak. You can get the Grand Finale score by bonus and more even! A billion would be more fitting really. Other than that, to reach the finale is a pain. 8 illusions is not as easy as it seems ! :) Love the game otherwise.
I want this pinball game, but I'm not willing to cough up $8K for it. I don't care how popular it is. In my opinion a pinball game worth $8K is no different than the ones that are worth $2K.

Me too. I love this one. The bright lights of real pinball machines never look quite as good in the virtual tables.

You should watch Pinball 101 - that would make you twice as good - just by not flipping so often. :-)

you get 50 million a shot and 12 shots. that's 600 million, plus the half billion bonus. so you do get over a billion for the grand finale.
