My best Belgian National Championship 2024 result - Race 5E @ Worldkarts Kortrijk

Fifth and last qualifying race for BNC @ Worldkarts Kortrijk. Last chance for a podium and a place in the semi-finals. Qualified P5 which was a good start but could have been P4 without that small mistake. Managed to overtake P4 but by that time already lost some time to P3. Still managed to catch up with P3 but ran out of laps to attempt an overtake. Still a solid result in a extremely tough competition where differences were measured in hundreds of a second and there was absolutely no room for any mistakes.
After a P6, P13, P7, P11 and P4 finished P61 / 160, only a couple of points outside the semi-finals. Even with the rather small differences between the karts, having a less good kart resulted in loosing about 5 places in the 1 lap qualify and hard to get it back with all the battles in the midfield. And as usual I was a bit unlucky getting 2 lesser karts: 24 and 22.
