    Your bucktail technique is really interesting... its hard to conceptualize by the video what you are doing with the lure underwater..it's almost like a forward poke or mini hitch. Very cool. Not how I fish a bucktail, but it's more art than science and I dig that.

      Thank you. I really have never seen anybody fish bucktails like this, but it works well for me. The curly otter tail swims so nicely in the water with very little resistance needed to give action so I can reel very slow on bottom & I have noticed just those little twitches trigger following fish to eat sometimes.

    Man I fished that whole entire side Saturday. Exact same rigs. Not a fish to be found. But still beats sitting in the house

    Killing it! I’ve tried similar lures later on in the day around sunset at this spot, got skunked both times I went… think I’m all out of luck lol

    Love it man. Was out that day and I went against my instinct and went a bit east of where you are here. Looks like I made the wrong move. Will def be out there in the next day or so.

    what lb leader do you use with this 8ft setup?

    • @Bobbybaitz
      @Bobbybaitz  ปีที่แล้ว

      I almost always use 80lb when fishing for stripers and blues. I also use this 8foot rod for Albies in which I’d use 20lb flouro.
