    You eat some buffet at some hotels the price would be cheaper I think.

    Wagyu literally means "Japanese Cow", there's no such thing as "Australian Wagyu". Could be Australian beef, just mismarketed. Anyways, love your videos and keep it up!

    because many thai people don't tip or give a very small amount of tip, many restaurants add service charges to their bills. i probably would tip them additional 100-200 bahts for this meal. but thank you for being generous. i'm happy for those staffs.

    Those prices are just ridiculous for just a steak. And yeah thats Rare, not medium at all, not even medium rare.
    You can get a 5 star restaurant gourmet meal in the top BKK restaurants for the same price.

    Americans often feel obligated to tip abroad as they do at home, but hey if it makes you happy and make the wait staff happy, go for it don't let anyone stop you.

    Hi mate love your vids but just so you know high tipping like that can be considered somewhat rude in Thailand. Like you’re showing them up with how much money you have and can be interpreted as rubbing their face in it. Follow local customs, not your homelands customs

    I suspect the steak was on the rare side lol 😝 but better than being overcooked. I like medium-rare; some of my friends would have definitely sent it back to be fully cooked (no pink) on the inside. The potato thingy was a roasted clove of garlic 🧄 (400°F for 35 minutes with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil). Keep the videos coming. Glad you are enjoying Bangkok 😃🙏🏻 - Jim in BKK

  • @joenawalak4551
    @joenawalak4551 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    El Gaucho is one of the more expensive steak houses in BKK like Arno’s. They have many branches in BKK. Always good service at these places, staff usually are not Thai but more towards Filipinos. Once in a while for a treat is not bad, just have to manage cost a bit. I would stay away from overly tipping like you did. Usually if you want to give more than the 10% service charge already in the bill, a extra 10% is enough. Thai’s like Japanese do not have a tipping culture, once you head to Japan you will understand this more since if you tip in Japan it may offend the local Japanese since they consider it there duty already to provide that level of service. I think you can probably google gratuity customs in each country to understand more about this, just my suggestion. Personally I am against the US tipping culture where the waiters expect (not deserve) a minimum of 25% tip, I heard nowadays it’s gone up to 30%, that’s just crazy in my opinion. Just my two cents on the matter. Keep up the vdo’s great to see new vloggers in Thailand.

    Appreciate your review but that's expensive than the world famous steak house Mr Peter Lugar.... and I consider it to be one of the best in the world. Also, I'd appreciate you stop tipping. I understand you want to show your gratitude but you may actually ruin the experience for other tourists. Majority of the world do not have tipping policy and once you start tipping at these establishments, waits will/may expect tips from other tourists. Keep the tips to yourself and give them a good review on google or something. Just my opinion Zane. Keep up the good work on your travels and videos.

    • @kevinp8108
      @kevinp8108 ปีที่แล้ว

      @minthelegend - Mind your own business! Zane can do whatever he wants. The minimum wage in Bangkok is nearly 400 Baht or $11.74 per day, so if he wants to brighten someone's day by showing his appreciation for the service, then so be it! Don't be cheap! This is not Korea. Zane is making his income from TH-cam about Thailand so this is his way to give back to the Thai people. Do us a favor cheapskate, and keep eating at McDonald's where you don't have to tip!
