Shimano Zodias. Is it worth the cash? I put it to the test!

After struggling to find a rod that reacts the way I want it to, I put the Shimano Zodias through its paces and strike gold. I matched it up with the Shimano Miracle 1000 and shimano 6lb braid.

The best value rods on the market. But the line classes are not accurate, which is sadly very common these days. The "UL" model you have is a 3 to 4 kilo rod in reality. Not the ideal soft plastics rod, but its slightly stiffer tip is ideal for working metal blades and soft vibes. The blank technology in these rods is outstanding. The quality control is amazing. Daiwa on the other hand make you pay twice as much for rods that are lower performance and not straight. I own 9 Zodias. The reson it feels so good is that the modulus of the blanks is very high, comparable to Loomis GLX.

Hey 9 rodder, sweet selection, experienced advice please, decided on Zodias travel for bacpack paired with Vanford 2000 but uncertain (worried) about rod model. 6'4" light, 6'8" medium light, the 5 piece rods fish very similar to the singles, bay and river use, 6 to 8 pound line, online purchase, need to nail this, all opinions welcomed, tight lines.

I have the L version in the zodias, but it's a bit too stiff for what I need it for still a top rod.
Bought the UL version for top water and flats fishing.Its perfect it's crisp in the tip, so there's no line slap after you load it.
I've had mine for a week paired to a 2500ci4+.
For the money, you ant go wrong.
