Yeah, even then the story modes are on TH-cam so you can watch it. In the DOA2 part of DOA Dimensions Ryu beats the Hayate memories back into Ein/Hayate. Later in the DOA3 part Ryu tricks Hayate with the ninja substitution move. Then in DOA5 Ryu triggers Hayate, wins their match, and then tells Hayate not to let his emotions trigger him. And in DOA6 they have a night fight where Ryu wins again.
