Thanks Karl! Glad I could help you learn something. Whenever I work with folks, unless there's a real specific reason not to, who are still on vintage themes I use 2.0 templates. Makes everything easier to manage and is a nice bonus for the merchant to get some new features natively.
more specifically, can i add an app block for subscription? When i did this, I was able to add the app block but was hit with the same message: "Cart Error: cannot apply selling plan to variant" when i tried to check out
@@chubycheeks99 I'm not sure what you mean by app block for subscription and will depend on the app you're trying to add? you may have better luck reaching out to the app dev about your use-case In general, converting a Liquid template to a json one will work the same - it always depends on how you need to revert or leverage existing sections and potentially re-work them or migrate data from the existing Liquid template to a section file
