I’m glad og Marco is recovering we lose to many to suicide nd it’s dark to think he was very close to permanently ending it like lil loaded peep nd sketchy
He’s the reason why QC got to Capitol Records and they shelved him smh. His debut album that later leaked ‘Lord Of The Rage’ is really good. His OG Zay tape is my personal fave
No bullshit OG Maco was my favorite rapper until the SoundCloud wave took off. Every project was different, he did all the experimenting and versatile shit we give other rappers that came after him credit for first. Wish I could tell dude personally how much his music meant to me. If he passed RIP if not I hope you get better OG Mac.
Was sad to hear where things have lead him; I been watchin him fight demons for years now. Now being 23, I been listening to him since 2015 and I saw how he pioneered that like trap rage sound n his music was really on the come up during his 2016-2018 run
I think he tried to take his life because he was black balled to make music and he got that rare flesh eating disease when he went to Seattle .. I pray so much for Maco man 🙏🏾😢
I used to *love* his self titled and the tax free EP with bob dylan’s grandson, pablo dylan, an EP with key! and some fire singles in that noisey atlanta era, he was definitely one of my favorites
I met Maco in LA 2018, didn’t know it was him til after. He was real genuine & humble, giving me advice on becoming an artist. Stand up guy. Much respect to him ✊🏾
Yeah, if I was dealing with something like that, I would likely be suicidal as well . The idea of a flesh eating virus is so scary and impossible to conceive of dealing with
@@hidden1319Og Maco isn’t necessarily the who started rage rap or that like screamo sound in hip hop. That sound was pioneered by artists like Bones, but I would say “U Guessed It” somewhat made that sound more popular to the mainstream
@@eastendmadeur juss saying ppl who scream on a beat is rage rap, imo Maco different cos he had an obvious metal/punk/rock influence and it showed in his style
@@hidden1319 This is what I'm talking about. I remember I'm the comments, people said OG Maco was on some Ozzy Osbourne shit on the "Fuckem 3x" video. They likely feel the same about today's artists tackling the same shit.
Been saying this for years... maco was always talented and a breath of fresh air from all the generic fast food music thats being pushed down our throats and trash rappers like ice spice and playboicarti being pushed shamelessly by the industry making the mainstream music very stale... if og maco never signed to QC and even remained independent i feel like he would've at least reached veeze, lucki, babyface ray levels of popularity just off his sheer versatility alone if wouldve signed to label unlike QC he would've reached maybe even uzi or carti level of popularity such, a clear example of mismanagement and blackballing on QCs end,i really pray that Maco pulls through and overcomes whatever his demons are and hopefully one day he can make a come back i know hes in his 30s but he still young. Larry june in his 30s and they came up together maybe in the near future if maco gets his label situation fixed and drops consistently he'll at the very least reach junes level of popularity but unfortunately the mainstream has moved on 🙏🙏🙏
Randomly thought about OG Maco after thinking about how KOHH is finally making it since "it g ma". Its sad that this is what is going on with him at the moment. Bruh really started a wave and never really got credit for it. Hope things get better for him 🙏
He never made mainstream appealing music. None of his songs ever even got certified gold. His career was never mismanaged, he just wasn’t that guy respectfully
Ya can't really say he did make bad music when he called his own hit song "You Guessed It" trash and questioned why everyone liked it lol. He said it was that trash people are looking for. That also hurt his career, I remember people getting upset over that.
My old boss at Waffle House new that dude , they was friends in high school and he gave him a ride one time and they wrecked the car 😂. He wasn’t gangsta at all in high school apparently I wana say he lived in Fairburn ga
aight, i commented before watching the whole thing, and i sincerely hope brother gets the love, hope and support he deserves. i literally never heard of him till this video, but he's a human being too and on god this life shit too precious to take away

Waddup Bryce that XXL video put me on a lot of artists big luv for that ❤
I got scared when I saw he passed on say cheese and raphouse but then I remember they say cheese and raphouse
Habitual liars 😂
Raphouse be stealing shit from Reddit most of the time fuck that lame mf
Og maco honestly was a pioneer Fr, screaming in raps and bringing in that punk/rock energy in rap
I get what u saying but it was tons of rappers doing that before him a big one is dmx but for the newer generation I would 100% agree
@@Chosen1-216yeah saying he influenced anyone or started any wave is a huge stretch. You guessed it a classic tho

Hella Sketchy?
Could be wrong but don’t think lil peep killed himself more like accidental drug overdose

this video is hard, not enough thoughtful content about how people react to hardship.
I stay listening to his music he’s da reason y Qc a thing made me sad when I heard the news I rlly don’t want him to pass

Last time I heard he had a flesh eating disease but that was years ago

i really like og maco it just felt like he genuinely was unlucky af
Macos whole discography is legit as fuck and he remixed devil in a new dress back then and it was fire
praying 4 his health bro b u guessed it is legendary
Without OG Maco, what even was rage rap? A true legend of the game.
Waka flocka, southside, and lex Luger started rage rap not og Maco do your research
@@eastendmadenow I could be wrong lol but waka ain’t rage rap, rage rap is categorized as something different.
