I don't have any trees around the duplex I live but, all our duplexes are designed with interiors of huge logs that stick out outside about 2 feet long each, 12 each side of the buildings. I hope that makes sense lol I have 2 double sided suet feeders but want to add more and your cup suet feeders are what I'm thinking of doing. However, glass or ceramic cups are ideal but we also have high strong winds during winter and I'm afraid of the cups crashing agains the building and breaking. Would it be ok (healthy) to use hard plastic cups/mugs? Thanks so much for advising :)

I think the plastic will be fine if it is thick enough and will not crack and break or become brittle

I didn't make my suet squares thick enough and small birds couldn't reach it.
