Now you caught my heart for the evening, kiss my cheek move and you confuse things, should I just sit out or come harder, help me find my way. Thank you Tribe. Thank you Carlos Nino & Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. Thank you Jay Dee.
Oh my gosh they actually started singing the 'Tek Nova - Towa Tei' (the song Dilla sampled to create the masterpiece) in Japanese (from 5:08). This is AMAZING!
WHAT IS GPING ON HERE?!!!! I've listened to the Miguel Atwood Ferguson tribute to Jay Dee a zillion times. What is that awesome cover with extra drums , chunky bass and all?!!!! Who covered that?!!!!! See, Dilla was a genius. Then all his legacy is a Pandora box where every cover, alternate take, remix is an open door to a new world. True respect here!
This is hip hop, j Dilla shared his gift with us and unfortunately left the earth with it. All this noise that's on the radio like drake and other untalented so called artist are spreading ignorance to the world, we need to bring this music back from the dead so we can teach kids that real music comes from the heart and not from a paycheck. Dilla made music, music wasn't his job, it was his life. Rest In Beats James Yancey.
@@godwinameya5519 Amen to that. Like jazz hip-hop is life but come on, it's not like everything else is garbage. There are tons of people out there today, and they're doing a ton of different styles. It's whack to say that all of modern hip-hop is wrong and lost its way, you guys just have to look for more than 15 seconds and see that it lives on.
calling drake, apart of the evolution of hip hop, as noise is completely dismissing the importance of j dilla to music as a whole. like anything, music and hip hop will evolve and we must appreciate it in all its forms. i know dilla did
Dj Towa Towa from Deelite was where I first heard this joint . Before I'd ever heard of Jay Dee or TCQ's version. So whilst I accept the fact that no one flipped a sample quite like Dilla (except perhaps Madlib ) and TCQ are dope as fuck. Towa was grooving this joint before both of them , so respect due to him .

Hello, can someone point me in the right direction to get a hq version of this song, please? I have already purchased a shorter accoustinc version from Stones Throw website but that version has no drums, no bass, no Rhodes, etc... I would give my left kidney for this full track!
You just found it! All you need is ilivid, url downloading program that allows you to copy url's from sites like youtube, and paste them onto it's panel for an instant download! The program is easy to find, and is usually free in it's standard version.
I'm confused tho. SOME of the flutes are from Tribe Called Quest 'Find a Way' but it doesn't say that Tribe sampled it from J-Dilla? But this whole track is a tribute to J Dilla.
The Ummah was a music production collective, composed of members Q-Tip and Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest, and the late Jay Dee (also known as J Dilla) of the Detroit-based group Slum Village

Ethereal indeed
Rise outta bed theme song.
Oh my gosh they actually started singing the 'Tek Nova - Towa Tei' (the song Dilla sampled to create the masterpiece) in Japanese (from 5:08). This is AMAZING!

Drake is talented.
Wish everyone in the world could read that comment. Couldn’t agree more!

I like how they mixed that Crush On You by Lil Kim and Cease around the 4:35 mark...
romi rom The rhythm maybe, but nothing else resembled it.
They got cameo talking out the side of your neck in there to . pure genius

You're welcome hon!
I'm confused tho. SOME of the flutes are from Tribe Called Quest 'Find a Way' but it doesn't say that Tribe sampled it from J-Dilla? But this whole track is a tribute to J Dilla.
J Dilla produced "Find a way" for tribe.
Weekend Watch Oh I see because on wiki they say producer is 'The Ummah' and I didn't know he was a part of that.
That's code for J Dilla.
The Ummah was a music production collective, composed of members Q-Tip and Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest, and the late Jay Dee (also known as J Dilla) of the Detroit-based group Slum Village
what ep, i must know!
Arthur verocai fodaaaaa
6:15🤭🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎵
i dont think dilla would approve of the drum sound / snare sound
უსმინე
why do the drums sound like a plastic bucket
soneoo they needed the set to not give off any reverb. keep it dry for this type of music
Good Stuff really enjoying it.. im a big dilla fan i also made a tribute video check it out if you got a chance! peace yo
