As you said it's like a kind of live action version of Vanessa ! Her original dress was very simple, but like this she totally looks like an Evil Disney Princess ! (I looove the little "fake crown" this is the detail that makes me feel like she is that Evil Disney Princess !) I love all the colors, the fashion references to Ursula (the "tentacles" in sequins on the dress, the gold tentacles on the "fake crown", even the sleeves looks like kind of... "manta wings/fins" and I love it ! And her skin is gorgeous with that pearly reflect ! This is totally a detail which reminds the fact she isn't human but Ursula disguised ! I love it ! And the purple strands in her hair are just perfect too !) She is just... perfect ? Yes ! Perfect ! I still can't believe they did an exclusive doll her of, I mean, she wasn't a real character, she appears just few times in the movie...but look at what they did : A gorgeous doll of her ! I'm so happy to see that ! I'm not gonna buy her, because I don't like the 17'' dolls (too big for my room...), also I already have her original doll from the special set they did with her included, but it's sure she could be a very gorgeous piece in a Little Mermaid's big fan collection ! I reaaaaaaaally hope the rumors about the wedding doll of Vanessa will be true ! Because Vanessa need absolutely more focus !

A lot more prettier with those Disney aspects than, now outdated, Southern Belle of 1800s styles of which Vivian Lei perfectly modeled in 1937 for the movie Gone With The Wind!
are the legs ruber, tho?? it seems to me that the Pearl shine would be more dificult to be add to a ruber material than a plastic one. none the less, the doll looks gorgeous!! ursula was always be my favorite carácter, as well as Vanessa.

I'm pretty sure you did a custom Vanessa doll using 0ne of the Ariels. And if I remember correctly this limited one looks identical to it. Which is a good thing. I just thought it was really cool and interesting!!
Due to the sea witch and temple princess characters being merged into one, as well as being made villainous in characterization in the Disney version of The Little Mermaid, Ursula, or more accurately Vanessa, has a similar role to the False Prophet from the Book of Revelations.

Thank you very much! I hope her price drops 🙏🏼 sometimes I put them back in their boxes but for the most part they are on display on a shelf. They do get dust but once in a while I clean them up a bit 😂

I like the doll and outfit ,my only gripe is I dont really like the sequin stripes on the skirt, but that's just a personal opinion. Other than that gorgeous doll and love her smirk. I think with the sleeves they were kind of go for a witch vibe as she is a sea witch
Recently rewatched the flick.... the scene where the sea animal beat the crap out of her is so hilarious.... full of slap stick.... it’s like Tom & Jerry.... don’t think a modern cartoon would ever do that....

high mermaid the Disney store version is a bit different. Her hair is brown with no purple highlights, her skin is regular skin tone and not pearl like. Her bodice is a bit simpler with different fabric and less rhinestones, She also doesn’t have the cape or hair pin... everything else seems to be the same :)

high mermaid this doll was released at D23 only as it says on the video. The one I described is the one coming to Disney stores and online but it has not been officially announced yet, should be announced soon to release sometime in November :)
I am loving them all. BUT I have one caveat / one though...dolls SO EXPENSIVE AND HAVE NO JOINT LEGS. For me this is disappointing, paying SO EXPENSIVE to have a slender skinny legged doll just like the cheap basic collection
D23 Expo is a event Disney makes every other year, they have celebrities, talk about upcoming movies/projects and have exclusive merchandise like this doll 😀
