Why not cut a piece of the sheet and used it as a wedget to hold the dam in place. It works like wonders. Thank you for sharing the demonstration. Learned a lot.
You sure can. It works best if there are contact points. If not, you may use rubber dam clamps. There’s a video within the same playlist where I refine the isolation with clamps.

Try using a water soluble lubricant like Glaxyl base with mint flavouring added. It will help the dam clear the contact point more easily.
