What are your thoughts on this time travel movie....it would be nice if you actually say what movie it is... Regardless, time travel movies are insanely dumb even in cases like this where the story takes us to alternate timelines and universes. I say this because traveling to different universes does nothing for the current one. And if there would have been timelines where bad things didn't happen already. Ie...Hitler lost the vote, was drowned in a river, went to art school etc. Or a timeline where Ferdinand was never assassinated sparking WWI which caused WWII etc.

An earth orbiting a central sun and a moon orbiting the earth with a continuous rotation of the earth giving us the light and dark cycles we call day and night. It began as an idea inspired by watching shadows move on the ground. The first sundials. Since then we've created clocks calendars and watches to track the idea of time by measuring planetary movements. We add leap years to keep calendars synchronized with the surrounding planets. Leave earth and there is no sunrise or sunset. So time, as we understand it, is only possible while standing on earth. Astronomy. Sometimes it sucks.

The more we learn about space around us, the more unlikely time-travel movies are... we cannot travel through time alone... it needs to be space as well. But if you have ever seen the series time-tunnel, the two heroes in that series travelled through space, but always ended up on another part of the world.... so a "little" distance travel was done as well.
