For someone who works in the medical field, I learn pronunciation from the people around me, and I have all the confidence in the world that I mispronounce most medicine names!! But if you learn the pronunciation from someone else and repeat it that way, oh well, no harm done! Great info on the video tho! Thank you for sharing!

I've never been successful Gary with my clematis cuttings, but will give it another go! Likewise with rose cuttings. They seem to take and then die over winter. You've definitely inspired me to have another try. Thankyou!

Thank you very much for your comment Jenny which is greatly appreciated.
The great thing about taking cuttings, apart from the cost of the compost is that they are completely free. Definitely give them another try and let me know how you get on. Kind regards. Gary

Definitely keep trying, taking cuttings is a virtually free way of producing new plants so you do not really lose anything by taking the cuttings. Also, Clematis plants can be really expensive to buy so it is worth persisting. Let me know how you get on an kind regards. Gary

Thank you! Would love to see a update and where you plant them. Would like to see what other types of Plants go well together: which plants have similar requirements. Your garden is lovely. I’m intimidated as how to start a bed from scratch. How to do a barrier so you don’t get weeds coming through everywhere and do I have to till it or buy soil? I am on a low budget but want to start the process in phases would be helpful. We do have a tractor.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations or videos you could suggest.

What is the average time this plant has a good root for transplanting? I will look for your other videos. I have not “bagged” a cutting yet. I did subscribe. Thank you, Mary

I wish you would get the name right, there is no "N" in clematis.

Thank you very much for your comment which is appreciated. I’ve found cuttings to be a very productive way of producing new plants for many of my flowers and over the years I’ve had improved success with clematis, which I did find to be one of the more tricky flowers to take cuttings from. Kind regards. Gary

Great instructions. I've just learnt (@rosy hardy gardening) that Vermiculite is not a sustainable or green product. It goes through so many processes. She recommends cork chippings as its a natural by product from Cork production and sustainable 😊

Oh please is that handful of Vermiculite going to destroy the planet? Worry about something else. Sheesh!
