This song makes me feel like I'm returning to a nostalgia filled place from my childhood, only to find it in ruins. A melancholy feeling that there once were good times, but it's a different world than the one experienced at this moment
I did not like it when I first played it back in the day. I played it again during lockdown and really liked it. I just finished X on a PS2 slim, now I'm waiting for the time to start X-2 again.
Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi are criminally underrated and never got the appreciation they deserved. The soundtrack from this game is simply magical.
I love this music so much. I don't know why but it's both happy and sad. When I listen to it, it calms me, makes me smile and also want to cry... I will remember a long time that moment when a saw Wakka and Lulu, together next to the temple, watching in the far distance and speaking about their son. ❤️ My parents broke up when I was 7. I think that's why I love this scene so much.
Yeah I get you, it brings me similar feelings too, like an extrange kind of nostalgic Calm. I played this when I was 18 back in 2008 and even at that time I got those feelings
Yeah, it has both a happy and melancholic feel to it. The composer really nailed a lot of feelings in the FFX-2 OST. You can't help but feel happy to see everyone, but sad at the same time to see what's changed, who's gone, and wondering how you fit in the grand scheme of things. I dunno how the composers did it, but they really did capture that transitionary part of life where you reflect on the past and look towards the future.
I agree with everything and feel the same, but let's not forget that Wakka and Lulu kicked out the person that previously lived inside that hut/tent for FFX-2 :-D
@@pablokpsctr It feels literally like X-2's equivalent of a Resident Evil save room. In FFX, at least to me, it was more the beach rather than the entire island including the village. Still searching for a place like that.
I love this so much as well! So many other tracks just bring me back to playing this game when I was a kid. I use it to keep me calm in stressful situations.
I love Spira… I get so caught up in the day to day I almost forget it’s a place I can actually go to… all the adventures. All our friends. Well, maybe it’s not real real, but it’s close enough 🙂

@@pablokpsctr true but also I'm intrigued by it. FF7 remake was actually really successful even tho they cutted like 60% of a gameplay from og game. While FFX's song inspires me a quiet place detached from the world, this one always feels like home, welcoming you back after a hard journey.
I feel the same.
That's what I always thought. FFX is Tidus's view, and FFX-2 is Yuna's view.
So well described.
