so glad to have this back in my hands. ending was very good for the rng I got. I do think I'm done with this for now though, I don't really wanna play for a blood or fast foot in the ending which I'd prob need to beat this
the new route has a few changes:
1) filling church box right after doing fire code. we do this since we're already here and going to burn round 12 anyways, so might as well do it in the box
2) doing the fire staff glitch before filling mound box on 15. this lets all of the zombies spawn in while we afd, so we'll already have a full horde on the map when we're ready to fill the box (this same logic applies to all the other boxes as well
3) doing some of the lightning code BEFORE fire staff upgrade kills. this is for the same logic as (2), as it lets zombies spawn in while we do the lightning code

current places for improvement: fast foot for rain fire, blood at gen 5 box
potential future improvements: skipping trios, 23 cycle?

Me in 32 minutes : craft and improve the ice staff and wind staff
Him in 32 minutes : beat the map
I usually also fill the box with the ice staff on round 16, only tiny difference is that I’m not in rainfire but otherwise.. close to home
it's insane to think how many people are still dedicated to these runs and are actually beating them, huge props

That was an insane run! Been getting into the Origins speedrun with my best mate lately, seeing this kind of run just makes me want to learn more
This is a very nostalgic map for me, I remember spending countless hours trying to beat it with my friend back in the day. Super cool to see someone so insanely knowledgeable of the map mechanics. GG dude, nice run.

Few questions I have if you don’t mind answering:
Is there any particular benefit of running to gen 3 first over gen 2?
What program do you use for your timer? And what hot key do you use for your splits?
What’s your favorite pizza topping?
gen 3 lets you cycle gums on the gen which is good to do earlier. then at gen 2 u can hit if u have time while u wait for robot
livesplit is the program and i use a mouse button to split, but i also have an autosplitter from scrappy that does it for me

And how can you carry two staffs?
I thought you could only carry one.
the first one i downed to a death barrier, since i went up the unintended way and not onto the wooden path.
the next two are to hold two staffs. i have a staff in my mule kick slot, so when i down and revive with self med, i take another staff. when qr revives me, it'll give me back the staff i had before, letting me hold two
the last 3 downs are to do the fire staff glitch
This is an epic run, but how come slushie still says wr with a 36 something? Are they different runs or just not updated title ? Sorry for the silly question

@@Kingbeardthe4 rn you need a perfect run to even think about getting a sub 31, but realistically a 31:4x will be the limit for a while

so me and my mates beat this map yesterday for the first time (it was my 3rd time ever playing the map) and it took us 4 hours (LoL) to do it , this puts me to shame

can anyone explain what they used to hold two staffs, I am still confused. I tried following what was done in the video and it duplicated the staff but i only had one in my inventory idk what I am doing wrong. I know I’m not getting anywhere near world record but would be nice to save some time running back and forth on this huge map lol.
have first staff in mule kick slot. down and revive, with self med. swap out current staff for the other one u wanna hold. hold out your 2nd weapon until qr revives u

nah, robbin doesnt save much time at all if any. i guess it makes some round ends easier but not enough to save an entire 2 mins for a cycle

Why this step at 14:03, what’s the need for going down?
it does 2 things. 1) lets me hold wind and ice at the same time 2) dupes the ice staff and keeps another one in the mound so i can AFD skip later
he got unlucky as well twice, this couldve been 20 seconds quicker easily

u cant get ice piece on the first dig. also the one i pass is the most out of the way
@@ross_aiden ok so why dig before it snows ? I thought you leave them all alone until the snow round to increase chance to get ice piece
@@TheRyizzle15 the digs increase the ice piece chances even when its not snowing. blaidan has a good video on it, but every dig gives u better odds at getting the ice piece on the next dig (including when its not snowing)

that down was intentional/expected since there's a death barrier there. thats why i made sure to get self med before
