I love these! Seeing them with the Barbie proportions reminds me of the original mock-ups that were made to pitch the line to Mattel. Absolutely wonderful!

@@SavannahAlexandraArt Yeah! They were a german made doll line up called Bild Lilli. She wasn’t considered child friendly and more of a sex icon? It was around 1950 the founders of Mattel bought the rights to her because their daughter, Barbara, thought she was an actual toy
This is exactly the kind of video I need after being mentally, physically, emotionally, metaphysically drained by Hurricane Fiona.

Vintage monster girls is such a vibe and I like how you translated their outfit styles into vintage outfits :) this is how I’d expect them to look if monster high made a high quality spiderverse level film where either they travel dimensions or time travel
The vintage versions look so convincing and accurate!
As a kid I loved the Monster High doll line and the movies.
Monster High is probably the reason why I love designing humanoid monster.

When I see vintage Barbie dolls and fashions from 1959 to the early and mid 60's makes me think of my mom when she was little.
Ok I need to see an 1800s one now 😭 draculaura could definitely wear a lacy pretty dress with a fan, clawdeen could get a fancy suit, Frankie could be kinda like belle in her blue outfit

Love it!!! I’d love to see this but 60s! I think a lot of the bold shapes and patterns would really work for a lot of the characters, I can totally imagine Draculaura in a boxy shift dress with a spider web on the front!

I love the clawdeen design, very close to her og design but really have that 50's look. She's so beautiful 🤩
Wow they end up looking amazing. It also reminded me of the cancelled movie that would be the main cast going back in time to that era and meeting genderbend like version of themselves ( it think they also would either met Frankie's father or another monster of her same species) I think that it was replaced by freaky fusion

These sort of decade/aesthetic switching illustrations really fascinate me. This one is particular makes me wonder about an alternative reality where toy brands of the 80'/90's/00's/etc. emerged instead during the 40's/50's/60's/etc - or visa versa. It's fun imagining what might have been. Like, if there are any 90's kids present, I'd like to see a 1950's reimaging of the Mighty Max sets. Or maybe what Barbie would look like if she was envisioned and created in the 2010's.

This came out fantastic! I was not into the faces until you lightened the nose and iris and then it was like YES!!! I really love their outfits! I think simple makes more sense with the time frame and that Frankie is to die for!!!!

I love these id like to look into packaging production at that time cause i think the reason the blacks arent black, the saturation is the way it is, the lines are choppy, and the colouring is weird around the line art would have been from it being hand drawn then photo copied
