Theres bark scorpions at my shop all the time, and I've been lucky enough to watch a 1v1 scorpion fight, the animation of the radscorpion actually do look pretty realistic, those things are scarily flexible and very reactive to touch
I would've preferred something a little more subtle like the unused flinching animations shown off in that ragdoll mod you showed off a while back, but the description of a more recent fork of it said it was extremely buggy to reimpliment, so maybe pre-made animations played ontop of characters like this are our only option going forward
That’s cool but I’d worry about how the game balance would change. If they are stunned for a small amount of time, that means they’re not attacking, which would make it harder for them to damage you. Probably have to increase the damage they do to the player to compensate.
I do like the idea of these stagger mods trust me but it makes the combat very lopsided if i can hit and force the npc to go thru an anim but same isnt true for me. The day someone makes this I'll happily put it in my load order
I don’t think you know about “Immersive Hit Reactions” and the MCM options it has to turn on said Experimental Feature of “Player Hit Reactions” from said mod to therefore get “Player Stagger” to make the game feel more Immersive/Fair for you. Otherwise, this comment wouldn’t have been made.

Actually the enemies can still hit you WHILE flinching. What you're thinking of is the "Immersive Hit Reactions" mod, which will stun-lock enemies and prevent them from attacking back. "Additive Hit Reactions" doesn't really do that.

The animations don’t stun lock NPCs. That’s the whole point of this mod. And it actually looks really good on all creatures.

Run a player stagger mod alongside Enhanced First Person Camera for maximum immersion.

it is but you can install Death Throes which both implements fixes for ragdolls plus adds a few new features
you can still install and play it, just further development is canceled
