She compted her food? This why people act like this, they are just are trying to get free stuff.
Yes it happened at a few restaurants that I worked at. They do it on purpose!
Keeps yelling that she kicked herself out... yet keeps standing there throwing a temper tantrum.
This has nothing to do with old. I’m 70. My aunt is 95. We don’t ever do this. We are kind, polite and friendly. I’m going to suggest this “old” lady was like this for her whole life. I don’t know anyone who got old and then all of a sudden became rude and mean. The older we get, we just become “more” of what we already were.🌸
That “Karen” sounds exactly like my two sisters … always getting into peoples face, trying to get anything for free, lying, breaking the law, etc., and they wonder why they have no friends nor ever get invited to family functions or social events … 😂😂😂
I can assure you that “old people” are quite familiar with course serving. She was just being rude and obnoxious. I love your videos, but that comment was just a bit off the mark.
Oh, I don't know. I'd be willing to assume the old bat had a whole lotta ignorant going there.
There are many older people who aren’t even close to being thus miserable - and there are also so many much younger people, who can be worse - I’m closer,to 77 and I would never act like thus and never have acted ,Ike these. So please stop beating on older people - yiu will eventually be one!
Some people are “professional” complainers, and scam merchants (not “artists”)! It doesn’t matter where they are/what the situation is, they are convinced if they scream loud enough/are “aggressive” enough, the staff will buckle and kowtow to them, and give them their rights! They need the confirmation of their importance!
On behalf of all ancient ladies everywhere, I apologize for one of my own. Hope the next day was better.
I’m almost 60 and I was raised with course serving. She was too much. Too rude. Gives all of us people a bad name.
And it’s not just restaurants that people are being this way. I’m a customer service representative for a tree company and people expect miracles from me. They expect their tree to be treated right away even though it’s out busy season and we’re booked three to four weeks out! I had one customer get all huffy with me because one of the employees was out on vacation and wouldn’t be able to help her until the following week! It’s frustrating!
It is assault to get right up in your space pointing fingers. It is battery to make contact. It is generally legal to defend yourself in either situation. Kudos for not spanking an elderly rude customer.
I’m an old person, 68, people complain about kids being disrespectful. When people start telling me this, I stop them, old people are the worse, they are entitled and don’t want to wait for anything, in a rush to go nowhere. I strive never to b like this and when I’m getting near to being ignorant, I remind myself. Your retired where the hell u going, lol
Customers are way too comfortable knowing that 99.9% of the employees won’t touch them. I’d love to see an employee decide his/her job isn’t worth putting up with the shit customers say or do to them and teach them a lesson.
I can’t stand rude people, especially when dealing with somebody in the service industry.
No, I don’t or have ever worked in the service industry.
I’ve seen that happen before. Not where I work now but I have seen it
Most of the time when I go to a restaurant w others, the wait person will usually ask if we want everything at same time or would we like app/ salad/ soup first..that’s when not everyone orders that, sometimes bc of my dietary constrictions, I’ll just order an app for my meal or maybe just the entree while others in my party have more options bc they don’t have restrictions. What a contrary lady to have to deal with…
It is general practice to stagger the drinks, apps, salad and entree and then dessert. If this surprises anyone, they live under a rock.
I love your channel. I worked in the F & B industry for 12 years; don't miss it at all. Your makeup is amazing
Several prominent polititians have given the worst of us permission to be as utterly obnoxious as they choose. Most of the " worst of us " can be very obnoxious indeed and have no idea how trashy that makes them seem to others.
People are being Too people-ly... Yes. - it's because there's those who are in the misery loves company club - some don't even know that they are members - but... They Are ALWAYS Recruiting... Don't let them recruit you... And don't let them ruin your day... The entire world needs more kindness and Love to counteract all the people-ly people's misery-ness. I feel so sad for them... But just going to send them the shining love light... And especially to you and your coworkers as well... 🤗💜💗
There was absolutely no requirement to comp her meal so why do managers feel the need to pander to these people?
Exactly. Giving away free food is one of the reasons prices are so high in restaurants today. Nice people are paying for idiots to eat for free just because they are loud. Crack down and make people realize they need to treat folks the same way they wish to be treated. Golden rule, right? Every religion has it.
Customers have become more aggressive over the past 6 months or so. I have been hung up on, called names and accused of being unhelpful when an entitled customer wouldn’t provide their order information. Somehow I was supposed to know what they purchased ??? It’s sad that some people treat others so disrespectfully……..
@@reneesharp2497 I totally agree. And it’s just good. I don’t understand they they’re so awful
Thirteen? A coven?
Do not mess with people who prepare your food.
You would think an older person would definitely understand what coursing is
1:55 never coming again. Ok you’re banned . Welcome to our banned list then.
Sorry that happened to you. No one deserves to b e treated like that. People, be polite to your service providers. We work very hard to help you. Your continued courtesy makes it easier and us more willing to go the extra mile. for you.
The tone for how to treat each other comes from our social role models. Take a good hard look. Do you like what you see?
I feel bad for people that work with the public.
She could have asked to bring her food earlier by going to wait staff.
Exactly. And just be kind. I don’t understand why people flip out about food. It’s just food
@@Stephaniecarlisle0529 some people liked drama. Some people are too lazy to sask and then get bent out of shape
I can not stand rude people especially if you are working with them to resolve the problem. I would have been fired from the job for sure. Too bad there are so many people like this out there and they are not all older people. Sorry this happened to you.
This lady hates her job. Hates it.
I really don’t. I just dislike some of the people and how they act
You have never spent one day in the restaurant industry. I spent over 20 years mostly as a chef and loved my experience in learning culinary preparation. I have a skill not a whole lot of people have. But sometimes the clientele are obnoxious and disrespectful on a level NO ONE should have to endure. I suspect you may be one of those folks that enjoys demoralizing the people serving you.
My husband and I go out quite a bit ever now there’s there’s a glitch in the matrix like we go to Black Angus on occasion because we get nice service. We get to sit outside and they bring things in a course they bring your drinks then you get your appetizer and then five minutes later or you get your salad and then a few minutes 15 minutes later you get your steak your main course Last Saturday were there we didn’t have our regular server she was out the server we had was a nice young man. It was not his fault but we start order and next you know here’s our app in our salads and like four minutes later here’s your hot meal so I’m not trying to be mean, but you usually there’s time between each course and I said it was all thrown out at once. I’m so sorry so no it’s not your fault. Just so you know that’s frustrating. I said it’s not your fault so I know they had a couple really big parties inside, but I said that’s how I talk to somebody there they’re human beings. They have feelings, he’s OK. I said don’t worry about it. The food was good as always.
Agreed
Oh no !!! She is never coming back. What ever will you do? Now your business is just going to go bankrupt. Hee Hee Hee. Bye lady. Don't let the door hit you in the a*s on the way out. I always like it how they think if you don't have THEIR measly business you will just go under. Mental cases. LOL
17 yr waitress here. Yall handled that like the bosses yall are. Good on you!! That lady....bruh...some people are just better off ordering from doordash/grubhub/ubereats
@@erinhayes8552 i had never had someone get in my face before this day. I was seriously trying to figure out how I wanted to handle it
@@Stephaniecarlisle0529 you chose right. Lol. Ppl like that will never admit when they're wrong
We can critique without being ageist.
Why comp her? If you did nothing wrong charge her and if she leaves there are legal avenues to have her pay the bill she accrued. People are toxic and one day she will run out of restaurants she is allowed to patronize. She can enjoy PB&J's at home with her cat.
@@drk321 😂😂😂 I agree. I didn’t comp anything the other manager did and I still can’t figure out why. I guess to make her happy but do we really want people like her to come back? Absolutely not.
@@Stephaniecarlisle0529 I used to train bartenders. Some newbies always wanted to slide free drinks to their patrons thinking they would get better tips. I would always tell them that we NEED the green stuff coming in and as soon as word gets out you give out free drinks, you are cultivating a clientele that are CHEAP!. My gratuities will come in between 30-40% of my sales and theirs will be 12%
No idea what coursing our meals means.
That’s exactly what the video is about. Coursing is getting your appetizer, then soup, then salad, then entree, and then dessert times out so that you have time to eat each course. This lady was mad because she wanted all of that food at once and we do coursing.
Lucky #13 she kicked herself out
No video proof?
Do you really think that every server and manager has a Gopro bolted on to their forehead to prove how crappy people can be????? Are you serious???? Do you even think? Look, decades in the business, 98% of people are civil but it is the 2% of jerks why these kinds of videos are made. This sh*t happens. Way too frequently.
What do you mean “ old people don’t understand coursing”? You didn’t just invent this concept, most restaurants course.
I said idk if older people don’t understand coursing. Idk what her deal was. She wanted everything at once
I disagree, by giving her a freebee, you validated her behavior, charge her then tell her not to come back, but it is your business.
My God, the world has changed. In the mid 80s, we went to a now-defunct chain in my town. I was in my 20s. Our server tripped and dropped a tray of drinks. My left side got drenched in a tsunami. I was so sure my meal would just automatically be comped. Nope. I also said nothing, just paid my part and took my soaked, chattering, cold self out of there when the meal was over. My husband and I never went back. The folks we were with may have, but...I was done with that restaurant. They deserved to go out of business...and they did.
So you punished a restaurant for an accident? Have you never had an accident? People make mistakes. Folks who expect free food and drinks because an innocent mistake was made are garbage trailer park people. Have you NEVER made a mistake?. Gawd people like you are insufferable. Enjoy the all-you-can-eat buffet trough for $18.95 you probably patronize today.
Your language leaves much to be desired!
I once had some customer yelling at me calling me a "little girl" one time. I'm 30 years old I ain't no little girl. So I flat out told them "look I'm trying to help you resolve the mistake but if you keep yelling at me and calling me a little girl I will walk away and you can figure out how to fix your order yourself, don't fuck with me like that"
