I personally think they give a much more accurate representation of events and are less likely to be blocked by something like a jacket or whatever. I assume they will come with the ability to not only mount them on your shoulder but to caps, glasses and helmets like the previous flex cameras?

All axon needs to do to sell more BWCs is make them a smaller footprint. Nearly every other BWC is smaller. Axon is the standard with so much of the features/capabilities/reliability but ask any agency that opted not to get axon and the primary reason is they are big and bulky.
Sucks that I cant get it unless im law enforcement, I need this for doordash to prevent fraud since it can cost my job :( I think for me its the live streaminf feature, I need to make sure that the stuff is saved off site in case I loose the camera during an altercation as an example
You know you body camera. Manufacturers really wantna do a civilian's a solid. How about you start making these cameras where they cannot be turned off by corrupt cops and where they cannot be muted by corrupt cops.
Cool. Now roll out a firmware update to make all bodycams you've released record audio to the buffer as well as video. I don't buy for a second that these devices don't have the bandwidth to do it.
Nice, now make available to citizen buyer's, people can already buy body cam's anyway so this whole "only sell to police thing" is kinda dumb, would like one of these camera's as a novelty and is frustrating you just can't buy them normally and would have to buy one from a third party like eBay or something.
A lot of departments can’t even afford the old models and go with other vendors. Between this and the new taser 10 bankrupt a police department lol. Plus it’s kinda useless when officers in the field can deactivate them or mute the audio. Kinda hard to be held accountable when you are able to just turn it off when things go bad.
It’s up to the dept to creat policy that says any public encounter for a violation or anytime emergency lights go on, camera gots on. In fact it can be setup that axon goes on automatically when lightbar goes on. Additionally, the agency’s admin can setup the axon to not allow muting… it’s literally a function that can be disabled. Many depts allow the ability to mute when not engaging with the suspect… like calling a supervisor or the DA. You’re going to be sued based on your actions, not typically what conversations you had with others. The mute isn’t a big deal. But again it’s controllable.
