I’m kinda surprised they didn’t take the Card Lich King and change it into a different card when they made Lich King a playable class like they did with Demon Hunter and Illidan
When I saw this pop up in my feed I was so excited. I've been playing Taunt Druid for ages, and it's sucked for half of those ages. My thinking was "hey, maybe Roffle found a way to make it playable!" Then I saw the first game. No, that's about right, that's how my games go too. Even when you're playing the greediest, value-est deck on the planet, and you for once don't run into OTK or aggro, somehow the opponent still manages to deal with all your shit and outvalue you. The genuine Taunt Druid experience.

The fact a version of this deck used to be considered broken a few years back in standard and now its not even that good even after adding some really strong cards shows how much of a power spike happend over the recent years, a few more and cards like kozakus, Reno or some other really strong Claas cards will be considered useless, kinda sad it you think about it, makes wild much less wild, just prolonged standard meta

It was presumably to make balancing easier, and to shake up the design space, but it turns out that *didn't work* and was unpopular, which is why they continually get player gripes about wild being a viable format. The game, the players, and the developers would be better off if they just dispensed with the standard format, altogether.
