Can't wait till the dealers markup the starting price of $60K on the lowest Tradesman trim to add +$10K markup. Had my eyes on the Tacoma Hybrid 2024, but I might shake off the bitter taste of my 2015 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel turd and buy the Ramcharger if it comes out the same time as when the Tacoma hybrid is available. The cost will scare me.
Sandy Munro has a quick take on the Ramcharger (but I think he misses the point because doesn't really talk about towing). Also there is currently $15K incentives for the Ford Lightning. So if that's true for the PRO model that could be a $35K truck. That's a killer deal for an "in-town' ev truck.
Yes, $35K is definitely a good deal for that truck. $60-70K or more? Definitely not. It's all about knowing what you're getting into, up front. But Good God..... you can't even get an XLT gas-burner for $35K!!!
Next gen, they’ll be back
Put captain solo in the power boost!
The price tag will make or break it. It’s not an amazing truck unless it’s affordable. I think there’s a lot to be seen as of yet. I also like my lightning pro at 40k 😂 no perfect but can’t beat that kinda deal.
40k??? OK that's a very good deal. If they all cost that much, people would start buying more of them!!! (But they still have the charging issue.......)
Ford lighting is the best truck on the market and everyone knows it
The problem is..... people aren't buying it. And that's because of the range issue.
The Ford is the number one selling eletric truck in the country @@ArmyProperty
If we weren’t so tired we would’ve mentioned item #9 which is “engine braking.” You NEED to be able to slow down the truck by just lifting off the throttle. The Ramcharger can do that!!! No other light-duty truck (except maybe the 2nd Gen 3.0 Duramax) can do that.
