Lived in Miraflores for 6 years...The only thing that becomes a drag is the foggy winter weather for 5 months every year...The Humbolt current causes this. The water is colder than the air and its drizzle city.Gets depressing if you are there for months on end
Yeah, after 2 months in Lima I’m looking forward to Caribbean Colombia again - we lose the food and some security, but gain the daily sun and weather ☀️
@@jonathanells I just came back from 3 months in Colombia...Medellin,Armenia,Manizales and Bogota...I never went to Santa Marta because its too hot...I am trying to decide whether to go to Mazatlan or Santa Marta next for a couple months.Have not been to either.Thoughts? Am single but not a bar guy.Are people friendly in SM?
Sunny days in Lima are possible during winter time. Just going into the low mountains as Cieneguilla . I use to go to Chaclacayo or Calango or Lunahuana for rafting . Strong sunny days in winter time. Climate here is unique.
@@liveourbest2067 I'm also not a bar guy, so can relate. Santa Marta was great if you want to live a suuuuuper relaxed lifestyle, but damn it's hot. Like, hot hot. For me, we stayed 3 months and it was 6-8 weeks too long. But being oceanfront was nice. People are generally friendly in Santa Marta, yeah, but they are less familiar with tourists... so they will stare at you a bit more I find. I've only ever had a few people in public make me feel uncomfortable there, most people are very friendly.
Yessir in sneakers I’m 6’4. But in general, Peruvians (and most Latin Americans) are shorter and smaller than North Americans, or people from European or African descent.

@@mrfish1051 Yeah many days over the last week have been sunny. It's nice. I like this time of year in Lima
I thought I was the only one who needs to be in a room by myself to concentrate. No way could I ever get anything done in a Starbucks…
Hahaha I’m glad you agree man. Many people are like us. But only some acknowledge it lol
Are you 6’4 or so? Noticing how much shorter the people there are by you

@ dating must be VERY easy for you in South America and Asia . 6’4 personal trainer 😂
