    The Notes from the Podcast
God bless you. Below are all the Scriptures written out and my notes so you can follow along with the podcast “In Jesus' Name.” I'm still seeking spiritual matters and learning how to edify the church. God does nothing on our behalf without going through Jesus Christ. That's why we will look at the topic of “In Jesus' Name.” We will conclude with the thought that we do have the mind of Christ. It is Christ is in us, It is Christ behind all our five senses so that we can know the mind of Christ.
John 14:3 - 15 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Jesus does nothing apart from God. He always does God's will. If you've seen Jesus, you've seen what God is like. If we ask anything in his name, he will do it.
Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
God gave the all power to him.
Hebrews 2:8 “Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.”
Colossians 1:18 - 20 “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”
Jesus Christ is the head of the body, the church. He's our Lord and Savior.
1 Corinthians 15:27 - 28 “For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.”
Jesus is the head of everything but one exception, God. God and Jesus Christ work together. Jesus is called second in command.
1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
Let's look at what Jesus Christ is doing. We ask in his name.
John 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”
John 16:23 - 24 “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”
So again, we ask in His name.
John 14:13 - 14 “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
    Jesus carries it out.
John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also;...
