WOW. That voice acting is GREAT, Abbie. I haven’t read your book yet, but this really REALLY makes me want to read it. And that slight moment of fangirling over your book-that’s really relatable. I could talk about my characters ALL DAY LONG. Also, I’ve been writing out random scenes for my different ships and one of them is kinda similar to the situation except flipped (as in gender roles and stuff). It’s more... drama than this, but the main plot of it is Character A wants to help Character B/be friends with them, but Character B is “cold” (really isn’t cold, but is motivated by their past and misbelief so they put on a persona and try not to “need” anyone) and snaps at Character A when they say anything. Needless to say, I’ve enjoyed writing it out and your character templates and outline have been a HUGE help.
HOLY COW CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! doing the entire thing yourself, including constructing the area in which to do it, is soooooooo impressive! This undoubtedly took a ton of determination to finish! A couple years back I read somewhere that there's a way to practice/test to see if you're cut out for it cuz yeah it is SO exhausting, and the first time I tried it I made the mistake of attempting this practice test thing with one of my fav middle grades after a work day on an empty stomach and HOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOIIIIII was I not expecting to feel like I was going to pass out after like 20 mins.!!! It sounds great Abbie!❤️ That's so funny that your favorite scene is chapter 3-4 and my favorite chapters of my book are 3-4 too! And that's when my protagonists meet as well! Rhea is a fiery self righteous, control freak, forest dweller and Spehtis is a captain, dragon rider, to an infamous culture of pagans. Who just happened to destroy Rhea's village and kidnap her sister 11 years earlier. I love their first encounter, Sephtis is walking to his tent and passes by the dragon pens where the human sacrifices are kept. He thinks he's seeing a mirage of a beloved woman he lost, and it just happens that he pushes an actual person, Rhea, into the sand. She starts kicking and swearing at him until he's knocked down. He's utterly confused and shocked, needless to say he feels like an idiot😂 I love it sooo much! ❤️😂
Hey Abbie I started a new book yesterday. It is called “A horse called Rain.” I started chapter 1. It is about a girl named Sarah. She is moving to the country but she hates it. Them she finds an old barn with a pregnant mare in it. She falls in love with it. She names the foal Rain. I know it’s a lot, but I love it.
