Bobby's gotta let go entirely. Living together, _sleeping_ together and not really dating is even more toxic than being in an actual relationship. He's torturing himself.

I met Bobby Lee when he wasn't famous at The Comedy Store in LA and he was so cool and nice to me. I told him I knew 100% he was going to make it. I ran into him 15 years later and he remembered me! He was still just as nice and we had a great talk. Great guy and I have so much respect for how honest he is. Zero bullshit. He doesn't lie. You're the best Bobby and thank you for adding so much laughter to my life.

Bobby lies all the time, what are you talking about? He admits on every podcast that he lies constantly. He takes other people's stories and pretends it happened to him, he always embellishes or heavily exaggerates for comedic effect. He's always bullshitting and he would have no problem admitting that. He tells the truth too, but that's usually off camera.

Breaking up and still living with her is perhaps ones of the most painful emotional things I’ve ever done to myself. When you break up, break up. Don’t hang around, holding on. 1 shot to the head is better than 5 to chest and bleeding out. But maybe that’s just me.

khlayla is a manipulator narcissist look up her being exposed. she cucked a ex boyfriend because she wanted to manipulate she knew it was slimy and wrong. she did the same thing to bobby. she brought another man in the relationship on bobbys money he flew her to hawaii because he wanted to do anything to keep her while he was in rehab in a dark place. bobby never wanted an open relationship if you watch the clues she was grooming bobby to be in an open relationship like her ex. once you see how slimy she is it all makes sense. it makes me think that brendan schwab was right now

One thing I have to say. Bobby expressed that “girls” want/need the cuddles and attention and then later spoke about his inability to go and do things for the sake of the other person bc he simply just doesn’t want to. That is not a women thing. In any relationship wether it’s familial or romantic of friendly requires each person to do things for the others happiness even if it’s not something you want to do. If you don’t do that, it’ll begin to feel transactional rather than loving. If Bobby continues to refuse to do things for the other persons sake and only does things when HE wants to, he will never find a person. It’s hard to swallow but true.

I’ve been married to my husband for 15 years. We have a great relationship on all fronts. We work together, we have a great love life, we enjoy our extended families, we have good kids, and we share our faith. It takes a lot of effort from both sides. In fact the first year we were married, we almost divorced. We went to counseling and the therapist told us he didn’t see us making it. My husband stood up, grabbed my hand and the then said to the therapist as he pulled me to the door, “ We are not listening to this shit!” In that moment we realized this was death do us part. Then last year my husband got sick and almost died from Covid. During that time I contemplated on the fact that I have the best, and how would I ever be lucky enough to have someone or something so good again. I don’t have any desire to ever date or get remarried again. I would be fine alone. So, I understand and believe Bobby when says that he is alright not dating again.

Sometimes therapy really is overrated. Therapists will often confidently say that you should leave a relationship because there are "plenty of fish in the sea" but this is a very flippant and American way of looking at things. Commitment is important and sometimes weathering the storm does more for both of you and the world than just giving up.

We stay in bed for hours on the weekend, until I eventually have to kick ourselves out and make sure we’re doing something, otherwise it feels like a waste. Throughout our entire relationship, I’ve always been the one to initiate texting/calling/planning because she’s just so aloof, loves nothing more than just spontaneously spending a day staring out at a skyline or up at the sky for hours while disregarding any real-life duties or experiences.
And this will be the end of our relationship - mark my words. Don’t get me wrong, I love those slow, stop the world and melt with you moments. But I also love the stimulating parts of life. We recently went on vacation together - the whole week she wanted to stay on the beach. I wanted to see stuff and work in time for the beach as we went along. I needed to stop the porn and jerking off but most importantly I needed to learn how to be intimate with my wife, more than just physically.

      @Undoing88 2 ปีที่แล้ว +51

It's hard to take that leap. Many of us (in my experience, far more often in men) have a hard time reconciling "be strong" and "be vulnerable" within the context of a relationship with our partner. It makes sense. It's a tough line to walk. But if she's a real catch, she'll be fine with your intimate side. Good luck out there to all who struggle with it. My advice is to just show up completely vulnerable. The women I admire the most have all cherished vulnerability in a partner. I've also known many who were turned off by it - but they were categorically lower quality people!

Dude I've been with my wife for 15 years now and yeah there was that little "mystery" part at the beginning, but the part where you know someone almost as well as you know yourself, and you know you can trust them 100% with everything - not just being there in an emergency, but your feelings, your private thoughts, your everything - that's the sweetest part of a relationship I've ever been in and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
It really does sound like he's not comfortable with himself (a lot of comedians aren't) and has low self-esteem (a lot of comedians do) and has never been forced to mature. He started making money at a young age, landed some great gigs with his talent, and is now just sortof coasting through life as a grown-up adolescent. As he said, he's not a loser, he's just stuck emotionally like a lot of successful men are.

I think for me, that mystery of a person and/or a relationship shifts over time. When I met my now wife, we, like what Bobby described, had that period of time of "the chase" and "the mystery" of getting to know each other. What happened for us wasn't so much of a boredom or "falling apart" once we had grown familiar with each other, but rather that mystery and chase shifted to how WE were going to continue to change and grow now as a unit. For me, this was a natural evolution of a relationship and, specifically, our friendship that lead to us becoming wed. I 100% with when Bobby described that change in the relationship becoming a friendship. I think a growing relationship eventually hit a point where you decide if you are interested in exploring the mystery not of another individual, but of a team and become invested in each other. For Bobby, it sounds like either he may not see things that way or, at this time, he doesn't have interest in that next step.

Bobby should stop masturbating/watching Porn and playing video games all day, 2 activities that lower your regard of human interaction. While I think your spouse is foisted unto you in Western culture, you can find some middle ground. If I was giving Karlyla game, I would have told her to move out and find a partner to move on with. Luckily, they don't have children. But, that being said, even in a successful marriage (which is one where you get to the end together because that is the only success - for only death to do you part), they go through 10-15 years of not standing each other and someone not trying hard enough. I think had she taken the Filipino route of getting marriage first things might be different. Now, she is stuck. She had built something awesome with this man and now, he's like: "You're not worth it." Ouch! That must hurt. If I were her, I would put an intention for 7 weeks (Sundays)in a Catholic Church and ask Wisdom about what Her will is. Watch hoe the situation changes, so, I would say the fault is Kharlyla's because she has been taught how to handle spiritual.matters such as this but she is plagued by unbelief. Even of you are not Catholic, if you put in an intention, the whole Church = 1,2bn of us agree during intentions on what you are praying for. Sometimes the change happens as soon as you resolve to do it. It isnthat good. One prayer for you, the whole Church in unison, Wow!

He’s a massive red flag 🚩. Love Bobby as a comedian, but as a boyfriend/husband he is an absolute big fat NO. I can’t imagine investing 10 years of my life with an overgrown child. It’s fine to play video games, but Bobby literally doesn’t care about his partners emotional needs, physical needs like quality time and cuddles, her interests or her future goals. He literally doesn’t want to do anything with his partner, almost paying her off financially to leave him alone. He spoke as if a relationship is such a burden, well it usually is if you don’t put any effort in and let it become toxic. He doesn’t want to grow as a person or be in a proper relationship. Glad he is actually acknowledging that he is selfish and can’t provide properly for a partner, but the sad thing is that he’s already wasted 10 years of both their lives and he’ll most likely get into another relationship and do this all over again to a another girl. He’s 52 now so it’s pretty hard to imagine him getting over his old habits.

However, when I’m not working, I want to do what I want to do. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If I don’t have to, I shouldn’t have to force myself to be unhappy for a majority of my life. And right now, at 25, unless it was the right type of person, I wouldn’t want to be in a relationship. I don’t want to have to worry about a significant others feelings, wants, needs, both emotionally and physically. I am at least self aware enough to realize that right now I’m not interested in that. I’m glad the current culture is for people to step outside themselves and look at what’s broken. No shame in owning your character flaws. That said, it has to go beyond this. Admitting your damage doesn’t mean you’re not also doing damage to other people. Let’s collectively examine how we’re fecking up and have some empathy for the people who love us, let us in, and have to deal with our garbage. Then watch us change. Video games aren't much different, yes I'm a video game fan but playing them all the time is just another addiction and if your partner isn't into it then they are going to be annoyed. Been there done that, and moved on. Some guys will lose themselves in these vices to escape other parts of their lives and maybe hide something they are going through mentally.

If I'm a man who's dealing with a woman with emotional trauma and I emotionally manipulate her into accepting me sleeping with other women you'd never act like that was ok, so why does she get a pass? Once is understandable but multiple times seems like a pattern, also as I've said physical trauma can mess with all future relationships. Would you accept me saying these same things if I was with a girl who had been sexually violated as a child, and just because she wasn't meeting my physical needs i convice her to let me sleep around even though it makes her unhappy? So because I'm unfulfilled i make her go through unhappiness to satisfy myself? That doesn't rectify or equalize anything, it's just shifting the misery towards the other partner and at that point there's no reason to continue the relationship

He pretty much said in the beginning of the video that, he wanted his own space and do his thing from time to time. Meanwhile, his ex would do her own thing as well and at the end of the day, they come back together and mellow out. Unfortunately though, this wasn't the case for Bobby because, she was too clingy and he felt like he had to comprise a lot for her.

Being selfish is ok. I am selfish as hell and i like being alone. I found myself miserable in relationships because i always wanted to do what i wanted to do, and got annoyed by having to spend energy on shit i didn't care about with my girl.
But Bobby doesn't seem to fully understand his selfishness. Support for a woman (or partner or friend) is not just giving them money for their hobby or passions. It is sharing their hobbies even if its just talking about it. Being a part of that hobby in some shape or form other than monetary. But Bobby just explains how he supports by giving money.
