    I can't get mine to burn hot enough to leave a good stamp

    I'd like to say that I'm impressed but I would be lying! I need to be 110% sure that the iron is the correct heat, I want to start branding my pieces of Pyrography they are worth hundreds. If it doesn't brand right the first time then the piece is buggered!

      I just ordered an iron to put a logi on the headstocks of the cigar box guitars that I make. I am also concerned about making sure I have the iron at the proper temperature.

      Andrew Smith i think that's why they suggest a test piece first. And getting to know your branding iron Also the good companies tell you what temperature the brand should be so you are just guessing

      Yes, you definitely need to practice a lot first! The specific temperature you need to get the iron to will vary by your material and preferences, we recommend using a simple laser thermometer and just making a note of your ideal temperature amzn.to/2r6eAgR
