He is PARK JIMIN from the legendary 7 member group BTS.
Yeah they are legends. Anything they wear or use gets sold out, International brands fight for them, they are ambassadors of UNICEF, artist with most awards (1400 i think), bbma & ama's winners, received Grammy nominations, NBA wants them, FIFA world cup wants them, even Olympics wants them. This is their 11th year in the music industry, they achieved fame like no one in their country before and yet....they are just getting started.
BTS is on "hiatus" right now fulfilling their mandatory military service in their country, so in the meantime they prepared song as a solo artist for their fans called ARMY.
ARMY is the biggest fandom in the world.

Jimin of BTS. Think of them as 7 superheroes that when they get together, they become this super power legion. You will get all kinds music styles, their songs (mainly in Korean) have tons of meaning and are even poetic. I am 52 so I am not a teen, if that helps understand why even old people like me love BTS 🙂

His tone is extremely unique and has a very high voice. Multi talented and humble as hell. Sweet man . The thing that sets Jimin apart is his duality. He released his first solo album “face” last year. It broke tons of records. It’s worth a listen. He and his band mates all had to leave to serve mandatory service in the military. So they recorded a bunch of stuff prior to leaving. They are devoted to their fans “army”. As a group they are loved around the world . Well if you’re looking for lyrical focused music, then all of BTS’ (the group that Jimin is a member of) discography is very meaningful and widespread genre wise. I’d recommend Black Swan by BTS, it’s about the fear of losing passion for something you love.

@@luiscolone BTS are amazing artists, their whole discography of 350+ songs (since 2013 and before) contains all kinds of messages that they themselves write and produce, they’ve written their own stories in their album as they grew and that’s why they have fans from all ages, because they have music that all humans can relate too. Like mental health, passion, feeling lonely, love, fear, hardships, hard work, self love, hope, bullying, ARMY/fan songs, how hard it is for teenagers to grow up and be adults, literally telling their fans not to become too obsessed and go study, politic corruption (even though it was risky). They write their own stories and experiences, they’ve saved lives with their music.
But if you don’t like them then don’t force it. One thing we don’t like is clout chasing reactors that aren’t genuine and do it just for views. I’m not saying you are as this is only your first, but we can tell. Sorry if this comes off rude, but we tend to be overprotective since they went through a LOOOOT.

Thanks for your reaction. BTS had its beginnings being a more hip hop group... over time it diversified handling genres such as: R&B, Pop, EDM, Rock, Jazz
There are a rap sub unit within the group and a vocal sub unit where the rappers have few songs by themselves and the same with vocal line... But most of their songs as a complete group combines rap and vocals in Korean with a little of english.
Currently 6 of the 7 members of the group are doing their mandatory military service (the oldest of them has just left the military and is resuming activities as an artist) and 3 of them prepared solo albums to release during their absence (they had already released a solo album each before entering military service but they decided to prepare more music to release in the 18 months that they would be absent)

If you want something with meaning or something deep, try their korean songs like fake love, black swan, on kinetic manifesto or spring day with cc on for subtitles. Their korean songs usually requires explanation videos but there are plenty on TH-cam.
Actually their choreo is important as that's part of how they express themselves. It's not like those western mvs with bikini girls that doesn't relate to the song or the mv😏. Anyhow, it's your choice😁.

Jimin actually is the main pop boy and king of kpop and the best dancer in the kpop industry. Fun fact: he isn’t scared of trying new different genres, that’s why he never had a bad song ❤
It’s definitely a familiar sounding melody, but I haven’t seen a single person pinpoint any specific song. I think it’s unique enough that there aren’t any clear matches.

Jimin stated that this song was supposed to have that early 2000s pop feel to it, and it does so it sounds familiar even though it's brand new. When you get the time you should ce he out BTS and more of Jimin's work. I think you would like Like Crazy with it's distinctive 80's synth pop vibe. Lyrically I'd check out BTS Black Swan, Spring Day and if you like Rap check out Agust D, BTS's Suga songs Deachwita, Haegam and Amygdala.

A little info. there are 7 members 3 rappers 4 singers. They all write and produce music.They have been a group for over 11 years and are the biggetst band in the world right now.
Their music covers all genres . Though they have massive fame they are some of the most humble and appreciative artists you will ever see.
South korea has mandatory military service, so right now six are in the military the oldest jin just got out in june they will regroup in june 2025.

It doesn't need a rap verse it's enough of that in Pop music 😂 just let the singers sing. Cause some rap verses take AWAY from the song. I hate when that happens.
It has to be done correctly. I'm referring to a more R&B rap flow. I like to call it a singing rap style.
