I'm getting a flute for school in a few days. The sound of the flute is beautiful! This really inspired me (3 years later: well this comment is weird sense I literally can’t imagine my life without band. So here it is, turns out I’m actually really good at flute. I stayed the top of the class and went to wind ensemble right after. Last year I learned piccolo and I was going to play a piccolo solo for UIL before is was cancelled due to Covid. Now I’m going to high school and soon I’ll be learning how to march (don’t know if it’s with a flute or a piccolo tho). How things change.) (4 years later- I’m marching piccolo and I’m now a sophomore. Marching is really hard because a few years ago I got really sick, but I’m trying my hardest and I continue to love band/flute :) )

Lately I’ve been reconsidering playing the flute after a few year...I feel like I’m terrible at it compared to another flute players in my band class and my old band teacher from elementary school focused more on the trumpets and since there were only 2 flute player compared to 2\3 of the class being trumpets so we had to teach each ourselves how to play the flute all on our own... and when ever I try to practice my flute when my parents are around they try to record me and I hate it which why I do every thing when I’m all alone.. and when I want to learn a song from a game I enjoy I can’t find the sheet music for it and it annoys me.. but since I found this song I’ve been feeling better and planning on playing it... anyways thanks for listening to my rant (if anyone ever finds this)

I really love how you express yourself on the flute. People may say the songs you play are "easy", but you are amazingly talented at expressing how you feel in your facial expressions and motion. Sageraider 190 colored flutes are not reliable and don’t usually sound as good as Hanes flutes, Armstrong flutes, Yamaha flutes or pretty much any real flute

Do you have any tips on staying perfectly tuned ? I have a solo in my up coming band concert. And I'm extremely nervous. My only issue is I just seem to not be able to stay tuned.

No hate or anything but idk why everyone is saying she is so good. As a fellow flute player, I can say that pop music is very easy to play. I'm not saying she's bad, I'm just saying classical music is way harder and you focus on dynamics and articulations. It takes a true musician to play classical music. No hate on Melissa. I'm in fourth grade going into fifth, and for me that is when junior high starts, meaning band starts. I have always wanted to be in band, but never knew anything about it/instruments. Then I watched a few of your videos, and I'm set on the flute.
