Having a whistle is pretty useless unless you can really put use to it in a live performance. Ariana's whistles are pretty weak live and she fakes it sometimes by singing in a high falsetto. Tori can hit the note but has yet to prove she can actually full on sing in that register. It's a nice skill to have but we can't use it as a means to call them better than other singers which is what their fans usually do. I think Tori has a stronger, more reliable whistle tone, however Ariana has proved she can sing in that register but very limited and not so reliable (she's been proved to lip some whistle notes in live performances).

You can put Tori Kelly at age 11 against Ariana at present age and Tori will still eat Ariana up. Lowering a key does not mean that your vocal riffs and runs become sloppy. If anything it would affect the pitch. I'm not trying to shade Ariana, but I get tired of people shading true talent. If tori sung off key and was half naked in a high budget video people who like her better.

If anything listen to the choruses towards the end, Tori sings the main but whenever Ariana tries to take over she switches to the high harmony with no hesitation

If you like Tori's voice better, fine. If you like Ariana's voice better, fine. But that's your taste in music because their voices are quite different

Having a whistle is pretty useless unless you can really put use to it in a live performance. Ariana's whistles are pretty weak live and she fakes it sometimes by singing in a high falsetto. Tori can hit the note but has yet to prove she can actually full on sing in that register. It's a nice skill to have but we can't use it as a means to call them better than other singers which is what their fans usually do. I think Tori has a stronger, more reliable whistle tone, however Ariana has proved she can sing in that register but very limited and not so reliable (she's been proved to lip some whistle notes in live performances).

Ariana has been the public I longer, she was on a tv show on a major network. People are more familiar with her. Ariana can sing sloppy off key and people who don't have a trained hear will love it. People who don't know shit about music tend to like her better because the industry pushes her out there. They are stuck on the fact that she has a hit song. Personally I'd buy a ticket to see Tori Kelly if she were singing into a tin can because I know she is going to wow me with her vocal technique and skill. Ariana still needs a lot of work on her technique and skill as a performer. Tori Kelly is skillful enough to adjust. You can put Tori Kelly at age 11 against Ariana at present age and Tori will still eat Ariana up. Lowering a key does not mean that your vocal riffs and runs become sloppy. If anything it would affect the pitch. I'm not trying to shade Ariana, but I get tired of people shading true talent. If tori sung off key and was half naked in a high budget video people who like her better.
