Next year I would like to see them make a Tantrum vs Hydra rivals pack. For tantrum, have one button that spins the spinner and one that activates the puncher. For hydra you could have one button that lowers the flipper and one button that fires it, or have it just have it all on one button like Bronco. There’s a lot of possibilities though, who knows what they come up with!
Absolutely agree with you khaotic, but with hypershock and rusty they look Absolutely amazing and function perfectly. I don't even mind that they're triple a powered again.
The problem is that the motor is inside Tantrum's disk; even in Platinum, there would hardly be any space for it to work. They could try a friction motor in the disk that triggers when you move the puncher
Also I still think hexbug needs to make Nightmare It’s the bot that I think deserves it the most because it had a 20 year run, and is trying making another comeback, Jim’s done so much for the community Including inspiring me to try and get into combat robotics myself
I’m proud my boy got a hexbug, I’m Rusty all the way. A bot I think deserves a hexbug is Stinger. Either of the fork or the wedge configuration would be cool, but they probably would make the fork one because it’s probably easier design wise.
I really want hexbug to someday make a classic Battlebots pack with biohazard and warhead! Something about both the designs are just so cool to me, and having the technology to downsize such legends would be absolutely incredible! Plus it could finally put the 2 button controllers to use again!
Tantrum and Scorpios is a great idea for the rivals pack. Both have two weapons and Tantrum's one would be entirely unique to the line. Both deserving of a model, too.
I’d like to see one of the flipper robots like Hydra or Blip. It would be nice to have more robots with flippers. Also, I might get too Rustys because if I can find out how it works and how it’s made, I want to try and customise one to look like an old BattleBots contestant called Mortis.
I really want hydra and skorpios, i don't know how skorpios has been around so long and still has no toy, and it would just be cool to have another flipper robot.

I would love lockjaw and cobalt. Cobalt exploding ghost raptor makes it one of the fan favorites and lockjaw is so iconic and I think it's time donald gets a new toy! Also episode 69. Nice.

THAT WAS AMAZING. My picks for the next hexbug Battlebots are Skorpios of course and end game. Here me out. Both robots have beat tombstone. Both robots have acquired some serious Battlebots hardware. Endgame with a nut and you guys claimed a bounty boss. Both bots also are “established designs” that hexbug knows they can do because of them doing bite force and sawblaze respectively. The final reason. These two bots have actually met in the box as well so it fits most of the rival’s criteria. I also think it would be interesting to see if Bite Forces forks would be compatible with the endgame build or have two different front armor sets for each bot so they have a plow set up for tombstone or rotator and forks for when the ground game is the only game
Nightmare and Icewave. They did have a fight before, and it was pretty decent so I guess you *could . Nightmare is also perhaps one of the most iconic bots that does not already have a hexbug toy. And imagine how insane and fun it would be to have a remote control nightmare! Icewave was also a very strong contender from that time period, and while there are many other amazing bots from that time that deserve a hexbug such as S.O.W, icewave has a special place in my heart as being my favorite bot when I first started watching the show.
A rivals pack I would like is Tantrum and Ribbot (with interchangeable weapons). Both bots were successful on the show and are interesting designs for Hexbug BattleBots.
I would want the next Rivals pack to include Wrecks and Skorpios! Skorpios is well deserving of a Hexbug, and Wrecks would be hilarious fun to try and walk around. Also I just really miss Wrecks ❤️
Hexbug would realistically make another Tombstone reskin. However I think that SOW deserves a hexbug as well as Hydra to make like a Whyachi Robotics pack. We will see who the best Whyachi is once and for all.
Valkyrie could be an interesting Hexbug for the future since they have six interchangeable blades on the show. If Hexbug could make at least two blades and make it so different blades could snap on and off, that could be a huge selling point.
I'm so happy for Dave and the Hypershock team getting these. They look great! Would love to see all builders keep getting their bots made into toys - Hexbug just seems like a company that gets they're making toy robots of actual robots and make them so detailed for being a toy. I could see a set of Blip and Tantrum doing well together. But Skorpios with say End Game or Uppercut? That would be a fun one to have.
I do feel that Lockjaw needs a HEXBUG toy because it's a major name in the whole robot combat community. Not to mention Donald is an awesome driver and bot builder.

I think a really cool rivals pack would be: HUGE VS MAMMOTH. The 2 largest bots getting their own pack would be awesome. Plus, they are so unusual in their shape and size that it would make them stand out from all the other packs so far.
This is not out of bias but i think the next rivals pack should be Skorpios and Lockjaw! Multiple meetings in the battlebox and would be 2 unique robots to turn into hexbugs. Side note but I think Ribbot would be a great build your own hexbug choice with their multiple weapon configurations
I think the reason Hexbug didn't do the OG Rusty is because of the narrow shape. Rusty Jr. on the other hand was a bit more wider and was a bit simpler to pull off.
I would obviously want skorpios for my first choice but also blip or shatter For skorpios is just because its obviously one of the greatest and blip since I want to see a breakout star thats so recent and same with shatter as well for the same reasoning.
Hexbug is doing such a good job at making accurate and well functioning toys that i would love to see if they could make some of the more complex and unqiue designs, maybe shatter and mammoth? If they can do those it would prove they could replicate any robot in my opinion.
For the next Hexbug Rivals set, I'd absolutely LOVE to see a Platinum set that uses Lipos with Tantrum and Blade! Tantrum obviously because they're the reigning champion, and having that punching vertical spinner would be really fun to have in toy form. One button could be used to spin up the weapon, and the other would be used to make it punch forward. And Blade cause the bot itself is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and Team ORBY is my favorite international team! The bot would look absolutely amazing as a toy, and we need more horizontal spinners in the line since Tombstone is still the only one in the line. Blade's RC would be four-wheel drive just like the real thing, and one button would be used to spin up the weapon, and the other could be used to implement a working self-righter just in case it were to get flipped over. If we were to get a Blade Hexbug, I'd probably never put it down 😄💛🇰🇷🍌🥕 I think this set would be a really fun challenge for the engineer is over at Hexbug, and it would of course also make both Aren and CheogGyu's day seeing their bots being immortalized into the Hexbug hall of fame and would serve as the ultimate validation for them. Receiving a Hexbug of your bot is its own version of winning a Giant Nut, as Ray Billings once put it. Hope to see that happen sometime in the future!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
For me it has to be Tantrum and Blip! The sibling rivalry, Tantrum being the Reigning Champion and Blip! Being such an exciting new flipper (flippers are definately lacking in the Hexbug Lineup)
Hydra and tantrum would make a great rivals platinum set! With the higher budget they could both have all the decals on both bots. They can easily make tantrums puncher with a 3 pully system (two pullys are in a stationary position at two ends while the 3rd is comnected to the spinner. This would allow the weapon to move while being powered the entire time.) and the spinner could be actuated with a rack and pinion set up. Hydra could have a fully powered 6 wheel drive system and would benefit from a lower profile lipo battery.
The next Rivals pack I would like to see would be Tantrum, because I'd like them to pull of that wepon system, and Gigabyte, because I'd like to see a full body spinner. Also if they did Tantrum, they could make his fists fly off so you could replicate the iconic moment with Tombstone. :)
I would like a pack for son of whyachi and copperhead. First of all, they have faced off in the box, which fits the theme of rivals. Secondly, they are both powerhouses. Thirdly, they both have some history, with S.O.W being a classic bot and Copperhead being a revamped version of Poison Arrow. Lastly, they’re both kinda famous in the robot fighting community. That or Hydra Vs Skorpios for obvious reasons. Those are the bots I would want.
The next Hexbug Rival pack should defintely be Skorpios and MaDCaTer. I mean... those two definitely deserve their shot at being rivals let alone being made as Hexbug.
How cool would it be if Hexbug did a legacy bot series? I had an old Overkill toy when I was a kid, and I still like a lot of the less practical and more experimental designs of early Battle Bots.
How about a throwback? Warhead and Nightmare. For Warhead the 3 removable pieces can be the arms and the tail. For Nightmare the removable parts could be the wheel guards and part of the top back plate.
I am desperate for an Endgame vs Cobal. I've gone far beyond obsession with them. Cobalt would work as any other spinner, with the forks coming off in pairs of 2 and the 2 top pannles coming off as well. Although they might need to be the new platinum rivals due to them being so compact. Endgame would work by one button being the spinner and the other being the back self-righter (if im spelling that correctly). The top plate of endgame would come off as well as the forks in the front coming off in a pair of 2. They should both be on par with bite force in terms of weapons and be forced to use a more tactical approach when fighting one another. Sorry for how much, again, a bit obsessive.....
Oh man, there are so many bots that I would love to see get a Hexbug. I think a really cool set would be Tantrum and Blip since they are from the same team and you get some variety. You would get a cool flipper out of Blip and a unique fisting weapon with Tantrum🤜. Not to mention Tantrum was the recent season’s champ. Another cool set I would love would be Jackpot and Deadlift for a rivals pack. Both teams are now 1-1 against each other. Would have a lifter and a vertical spinner and I really love the look of these two(especially Jackpot).
A unique rivals pack for next year could be Deadlift vs Jackpot. Deadlift could have two buttons independently for the suplexer but I think it could be done with one with a sequence of event, so arm lifter up then it resets. Jackpot could have a static self righter like the witch Doctor toy from 2018. Jackpot would have the dual blades that would be cool to see with the glitter and detail on it. Even though these bots may not be considered “big” enough to be actual hexbugs, they have battled before with some legendary moments
For the standard pack, hydra vs endgame is what it should be. For the rivals, copperhead vs tantrum. Copperhead does only have the one action, but I think it needs the lipo to get as small as copperhead is. I think it would also be super cool to get a modular ribbon in the rivals pack. It could probably include a srimech with that extra action.
I have a list of bots i would like to a be a hexbug battlebot 1. Your bot truly, Skorpios, if hexbug can make a sawblaze, they can make a skorpios 2. Endgame 3. gigabyte, i have no idea how this will work but it would be cool 3. ribbot, another undercutter would be cool 4.black dragon, pretty underrated bot in my opinion 5. Fusion,would be awesome 5.Gruff is basically a bronco counterpart 6.updated RotatoR 7. valkyrie would be a cool undercutter 8.updated blacksmith 9. cobalt 10.Yeti, a classic one since season 1 11.subzero similar to bronco 12. lockjaw 13. I think of all robots I would want it would be Bloodsport and Uppercut. Both had good rookie seasons with some struggles and then came out of nowhere and are now considered to be major threats.
Gigabyte vs Free Shipping. Because we need a full body spinner hex bug. And we need a flame throwing hexbug. Maybe a small refillable butane tank :) And what better team captains than John Mladenik and Gary Jin?! And of course Skorpios deserves one!
I would love to see Free Shipping and Mammoth because they're so much fun to watch, win or lose! Although... They may have to neuter the fire on Free Shipping. The other set I would love to see would be Tantrum + Blip because they're such cute sibling bots that have done extremely well and have come a long way from the awkward little bot that faced a cheeseburger and got its fists chopped by Tombstone.

I think Valkyrie would be my first choice, using the same build idea as the Rotator for the undercutter. Then second is Subzero with the same flipper mechanism as the Bronco toy
It would've been better after the 2020 Season, but because of the numerous times they played each other including bounties (maybe it was just twice, but twice is more than most bots play each other in a fight card season), I'd like to see Gigabyte and Copperhead. Copperhead could be done quite easily, with most likely the back plate and then splitting the top into two being the ones to come off? Though for Gigabyte there would be more of a challenge. Even seeing a full body spinner (that weird helicopter on tracks doesnt count) in the line would be iconic, and you can't say no to that gorgeous paint job on _both_ bots. Like I said, it would've been more appropriate after the 2020 season, but we got the old RotatoR after 2020 so anything's possible.
I wanna see a super-sized Hexbug Platinum set of HUGE and Mammoth. Their Season 5 fight was wild as hell, imagine recreating that at countertop scale! Extra points if they can make HUGE's wheels and Mammoth's lifter super-flexible without deforming.
Out of all the possible bots they could do for a hexbug rival set hear me out on this but Blip and Tantrum. It's kind of a perfect duo for a rival set given well both are from the same team both are super cute and both could be cool for a hexbug given well a "fly wheel" hexbug (just a normal flipper with a drum inside to create the gyro effect) could be super fun to drive and Tantrum being a champion could make it a interesting especially given Tantrum needs 3 controls for the self righter puncher and the spinner .
I'd like to see Uppercut and Free Shipping. Gary Gin is a legend and Uppercut is such a powerful bot. And to go along with your comment on paint apps, Free Shipping could get the fewer paint apps, with Uppercut getting the more detailed bot.
I would like to see Riptide vs Endgame or Hydra vs Endgame because these bots have all had amazing performance for the last few seasons and have been destroying basically everything in it's path.
Well, I was going to say Skorpios and Yeti but Zach mentioned Skorpios already. I have a few opinions. If Hexbug thought about going back into Battlebots history, it would be neat to have throwbacks like Overkill and Disector. For current BattleBots, I would say Copperhead and Gigabyte. Both are popular plus I just thing it would be a cool idea to have a full body spinner. If that idea wouldn’t be possible, my other one would be Kraken and Black Dragon. Black Dragon I think is getting more popularly and Kraken has had some very good fights. Since both robots use fire, it would be nice to see Hexbug have a little plastic fire piece come out of the the robot to act like a flame thrower.
Cobalt vs ghost raptor. For ghost raptor 2 buttons on the top with one activating the weapon and the other activating the lifter. For cobalt he will have 1 button activating the spinner. Cobalts spinner will be a lot more powerful than pervious vertical spinners. Enough to get an opponent into the air a bit. Another idea would be skorpios vs cobalt because I’m you both are fighting each other in the re:MARS event. Cobalt would be the same in the other idea and skorpios would be around the same as sawblaze.
I would love to see HexBugs for HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGEEEE and I dunno, maybe Gigabyte. There's so many worthy bots for toys, so in all honesty what I'd really like to see is at least two sets a year, do a premium set for bots with complex multi-stage weapons like Skorpios and Tantrum, and then a regular set for some more straight forward bots like Hydra and End Game.
I would love to see a pack with Gigabyte and Tantrum! Then maybe they’ll release an arena with the upper deck so we can all recreate that crazy hit from home!
you know what, why stick with the modern era of battlebots only? it'd be so cool to have hexbug do a legacy line, and my two picks would be the Ronin, and the legendary Diesector!
Shatter vs claw viper would be awesome! Shatter is bassicly a hexbug toy waiting to happen, it could have the ablative armor pannels come off just like on the toy adam made and looking at the s6 version maybe even the top plate could come off too. Also you would likely be able to incorporate the onmi wheels too, it might be able to work with the hexbug remote but would be a challenge to make that small. The claw viper could have the front forks side armor and top plate come off. This would prob have to be a platinum set as the new batteries would help make claw viper really fast. It would also be cool to suplex bots. We only have 1 hammer and 1 pure lifter so these both would be great additions

I think it would be cool if they made Chomp (even though he's a 500 lbs walker) but he still goes by the rules.

I think this set would be a really fun challenge for the engineer is over at Hexbug, and it would of course also make both Aren and CheogGyu's day seeing their bots being immortalized into the Hexbug hall of fame and would serve as the ultimate validation for them. Receiving a Hexbug of your bot is its own version of winning a Giant Nut, as Ray Billings once put it. Hope to see that happen sometime in the future!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Next year I would love a Ribbot and Hydra combo because ribbot was the 2# seed and then hydra had to ruin it for me

Hydra and Skorpios! Don’t know about this but I would love it
Hydra and tantrum would make a great rivals platinum set! With the higher budget they could both have all the decals on both bots. They can easily make tantrums puncher with a 3 pully system (two pullys are in a stationary position at two ends while the 3rd is comnected to the spinner. This would allow the weapon to move while being powered the entire time.) and the spinner could be actuated with a rack and pinion set up. Hydra could have a fully powered 6 wheel drive system and would benefit from a lower profile lipo battery.
The next Rivals pack I would like to see would be Tantrum, because I'd like them to pull of that wepon system, and Gigabyte, because I'd like to see a full body spinner.
Also if they did Tantrum, they could make his fists fly off so you could replicate the iconic moment with Tombstone. :)
I would like a pack for son of whyachi and copperhead. First of all, they have faced off in the box, which fits the theme of rivals. Secondly, they are both powerhouses. Thirdly, they both have some history, with S.O.W being a classic bot and Copperhead being a revamped version of Poison Arrow. Lastly, they’re both kinda famous in the robot fighting community. That or Hydra Vs Skorpios for obvious reasons. Those are the bots I would want.
I agree that Skorpios is due for the Hexbugging but I would also really love to see Hijinx!

The next Hexbug Rival pack should defintely be Skorpios and MaDCaTer. I mean... those two definitely deserve their shot at being rivals let alone being made as Hexbug.
How cool would it be if Hexbug did a legacy bot series? I had an old Overkill toy when I was a kid, and I still like a lot of the less practical and more experimental designs of early Battle Bots.
Captain Shrederator vs Gigabyte would be a welcome addition to the field ;) The lack of full body spinners must be dealt with :)
How about a throwback? Warhead and Nightmare. For Warhead the 3 removable pieces can be the arms and the tail. For Nightmare the removable parts could be the wheel guards and part of the top back plate.

Endgame vs Cobal. I've gone far beyond obsession with them. Cobalt would work as any other spinner, with the forks coming off in pairs of 2 and the 2 top pannles coming off as well. Although they might need to be the new platinum rivals due to them being so compact. Endgame would work by one button being the spinner and the other being the back self-righter (if im spelling that correctly). The top plate of endgame would come off as well as the forks in the front coming off in a pair of 2. They should both be on par with bite force in terms of weapons and be forced to use a more tactical approach when fighting one another. Sorry for how much, again, a bit obsessive.....

Scorpios of course, but it would be cool to bring back some classic contenders from back in the 90s like Vlad the Impaler, Minion or Toe Crusher.
Oh man, there are so many bots that I would love to see get a Hexbug. I think a really cool set would be Tantrum and Blip since they are from the same team and you get some variety. You would get a cool flipper out of Blip and a unique fisting weapon with Tantrum🤜. Not to mention Tantrum was the recent season’s champ. Another cool set I would love would be Jackpot and Deadlift for a rivals pack. Both teams are now 1-1 against each other. Would have a lifter and a vertical spinner and I really love the look of these two(especially Jackpot).
A unique rivals pack for next year could be Deadlift vs Jackpot. Deadlift could have two buttons independently for the suplexer but I think it could be done with one with a sequence of event, so arm lifter up then it resets. Jackpot could have a static self righter like the witch Doctor toy from 2018. Jackpot would have the dual blades that would be cool to see with the glitter and detail on it. Even though these bots may not be considered “big” enough to be actual hexbugs, they have battled before with some legendary moments
For the standard pack, hydra vs endgame is what it should be. For the rivals, copperhead vs tantrum. Copperhead does only have the one action, but I think it needs the lipo to get as small as copperhead is. I think it would also be super cool to get a modular ribbon in the rivals pack. It could probably include a srimech with that extra action.

I think of all robots I would want it would be Bloodsport and Uppercut. Both had good rookie seasons with some struggles and then came out of nowhere and are now considered to be major threats.
I think Hexbug needs to add the Malice vs Skorpios. I really enjoyed the match.

I would love to see Free Shipping and Mammoth because they're so much fun to watch, win or lose! Although... They may have to neuter the fire on Free Shipping. The other set I would love to see would be Tantrum + Blip because they're such cute sibling bots that have done extremely well and have come a long way from the awkward little bot that faced a cheeseburger and got its fists chopped by Tombstone.

I think Valkyrie would be my first choice, using the same build idea as the Rotator for the undercutter. Then second is Subzero with the same flipper mechanism as the Bronco toy
It would've been better after the 2020 Season, but because of the numerous times they played each other including bounties (maybe it was just twice, but twice is more than most bots play each other in a fight card season), I'd like to see Gigabyte and Copperhead. Copperhead could be done quite easily, with most likely the back plate and then splitting the top into two being the ones to come off? Though for Gigabyte there would be more of a challenge. Even seeing a full body spinner (that weird helicopter on tracks doesnt count) in the line would be iconic, and you can't say no to that gorgeous paint job on _both_ bots. Like I said, it would've been more appropriate after the 2020 season, but we got the old RotatoR after 2020 so anything's possible.
Just got them today, and they are RAD. Hopefully they give us Blip, and/or Tantrum. Blip vs. Tantrum maybe?
If the toy is held in place in the box with twist-ties, then YES! you need a grinding wheel to get them out!

I wanna see a super-sized Hexbug Platinum set of HUGE and Mammoth. Their Season 5 fight was wild as hell, imagine recreating that at countertop scale! Extra points if they can make HUGE's wheels and Mammoth's lifter super-flexible without deforming.

Out of all the possible bots they could do for a hexbug rival set hear me out on this but Blip and Tantrum. It's kind of a perfect duo for a rival set given well both are from the same team both are super cute and both could be cool for a hexbug given well a "fly wheel" hexbug (just a normal flipper with a drum inside to create the gyro effect) could be super fun to drive and Tantrum being a champion could make it a interesting especially given Tantrum needs 3 controls for the self righter puncher and the spinner .
I'd like to see Uppercut and Free Shipping.
Gary Gin is a legend and Uppercut is such a powerful bot.
And to go along with your comment on paint apps, Free Shipping could get the fewer paint apps, with Uppercut getting the more detailed bot.

I would like to see Riptide vs Endgame or Hydra vs Endgame because these bots have all had amazing performance for the last few seasons and have been destroying basically everything in it's path.
Well, I was going to say Skorpios and Yeti but Zach mentioned Skorpios already. I have a few opinions. If Hexbug thought about going back into Battlebots history, it would be neat to have throwbacks like Overkill and Disector. For current BattleBots, I would say Copperhead and Gigabyte. Both are popular plus I just thing it would be a cool idea to have a full body spinner. If that idea wouldn’t be possible, my other one would be Kraken and Black Dragon. Black Dragon I think is getting more popularly and Kraken has had some very good fights. Since both robots use fire, it would be nice to see Hexbug have a little plastic fire piece come out of the the robot to act like a flame thrower.
Cobalt vs ghost raptor. For ghost raptor 2 buttons on the top with one activating the weapon and the other activating the lifter. For cobalt he will have 1 button activating the spinner. Cobalts spinner will be a lot more powerful than pervious vertical spinners. Enough to get an opponent into the air a bit.
Another idea would be skorpios vs cobalt because I’m you both are fighting each other in the re:MARS event. Cobalt would be the same in the other idea and skorpios would be around the same as sawblaze.

I would love to see HexBugs for HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGEEEE and I dunno, maybe Gigabyte. There's so many worthy bots for toys, so in all honesty what I'd really like to see is at least two sets a year, do a premium set for bots with complex multi-stage weapons like Skorpios and Tantrum, and then a regular set for some more straight forward bots like Hydra and End Game.
I would love to see a pack with Gigabyte and Tantrum! Then maybe they’ll release an arena with the upper deck so we can all recreate that crazy hit from home!

Shatter vs claw viper would be awesome! Shatter is bassicly a hexbug toy waiting to happen, it could have the ablative armor pannels come off just like on the toy adam made and looking at the s6 version maybe even the top plate could come off too. Also you would likely be able to incorporate the onmi wheels too, it might be able to work with the hexbug remote but would be a challenge to make that small. The claw viper could have the front forks side armor and top plate come off. This would prob have to be a platinum set as the new batteries would help make claw viper really fast. It would also be cool to suplex bots. We only have 1 hammer and 1 pure lifter so these both would be great additions
