Tough Texas Plants, Part 1: Low Maintenance Landscape Design

  • The climate in North Texas can be harsh for some plants, but lush home landscapes can be created using the right plants and design principles. In part 1, walk through design examples from with a professional landscape designer to get inspiration for all types of amazing landscape designs and learn which decisions to make that will reduce future effort. Then, in parts 2 and 3, go through a variety of plants well suited for North Texas and in what conditions to plant them in.

    Thank you for making these videos. I bought a new home and it is helping a lot the information.
    There is a lot of garden vlogs but not much info for beginners.

    great video. I enjoyed the 2020 version and this one as well. extending my patio and starting a garden bed around it so excited to implement some of these tips.

    water going from the downspout to the drive way is promoting water pollution and garden desiccation. How can you promote that?

      We would suggest using a rain garden, bioswale, or dry creek bed in the landscape to prevent that. We have a video about rain gardens coming later this year!
