    2024, first year starting everything from seed. Exciting & a little intimidating. I'm learning so much from TH-camrs like yourself.

    Great video. What about the Jiffy seed starting kit greenhouses. I bought one that has 72 peat pellets thinking it was easier and I think I but off more than I could chew. It says to add 2-3 seeds and on some all took. When do you plant up and do you cut the extra seedlings at ground?

      I cut my extras for almost all of mine. The only ones I might separate besides peppers are tomatoes. Others are generally not as forgiving. I haven’t used peat pellets but I probably wouldn’t separate any growing in them.

    I did this now all my little peppers are drooped over and look like they are dieing! I followed your instrucitons...

      I would never up pot seedlings that do not have their true leaves. Your plants may be suffering from transplant shock, especially if they are as young as the ones in the video.

    Can I use root stimulator to dip them in ?

    • @thebeginnersgarden
      @thebeginnersgarden  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I dip mine in Organic REV. I assume you could do it with another type root growth stimulator, too.

    What are the ingredients in organic rev?

    • @thebeginnersgarden
      @thebeginnersgarden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      From their web site: "REV is an all-natural growth stimulant derived from a highly unique reed sedge peat bed formed by an ancient glacial lake. REV uses the lake's native microbiology to create a soil environment that encourages root growth. REV is literally teeming with such a variety of microbes it is referred to as a "Living Humate"
      REV is not a nutrient BUT it allows a plant to utilize plant foods and nutrients in the soil more effectively. REV is a rich source of humic acid. REV Is a naturally occurring form of carbon. REV is truly a one-of-a-kind product that makes ANY plant stronger and healthier."

    I’ve been trying to pot up some squash seedlings but mine die 😢 what am I doing wrong?

    • @thebeginnersgarden
      @thebeginnersgarden  ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually squash only pot up well if done VERY early, before the roots reach the edges of the soil. I have a video on my channel about indoor seed starting squash you might find helpful.

    peat pellets are so much better. Don't muck with the root system any more than you have to. ripping them out of those plastic containers does the plant no favors.
